Error 30 appears if the memory card is inaccessible. The cause is often a corrupted memory card resulting from an interrupted read/write operation often caused by a camera shutdown from a dead battery or removing the memory card while camera is on. Try a different card to see if it works.
Also, you can use a photo recovery program on the memory card or just reformat the card in your computer if there are no images you need to save on the card. Even after formatting, you can still use a recovery program to access photos on the card but be sure you don't use it again before you recover.
There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it. DO NOT format the card until you've BACKED UP your files from it (typically to a PC or USB drive (stick or external hard drive).
My reader will not read mine either. I use a usb key card reader. It used to read the regular old SD cards but the new HC card format wont work. This is due to UDF differences. You can try to reformat the card but then your camera or device may not recognize it anymore. good luck
Your camera is only supporting: SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte
The card that you currently have might be high speed. All should be sorted if you change the SD card to the supported MMC SD card up to 1G. There is a lever on the SD card this one might need to be changed.
The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.
I had the same problem with my HP L7590 All In One. After trying a number of
things to reset nothing worked. Then I tried this just as a last resort and it
worked.
Insert the/a memory card( it will tell you that you can only use one card at
a time).
With the card still in turn off the printer using the power button.
Wait for 30 seconds then turn power on again.
The screen should say reading card. So wait for it to finish reading and all
should be fixed.
If this does not work, try again using a different card.
good luck
