I have a LG dehumidifier which is only 2 years old and was working fine. This week I got some water in the basement and the dehumidifier is not working. I borrowed one from a friend (Sears brand) and it's not working either. I borrowed an Edison 40 model from another friend and it works fine.
The two dehumidifiers that are not working, I noticed that neither seems to have the Coils that are typical in a dehumidifier, the Edison does have coils.
I have kept the temperature in the basement around 70 degrees so I can dry out the carpet that got soaked with water. Windows have been kept closed.
