Singer futura ce200 software problem

It depends on your software version. The list of supported formats could be found in the manual, on Futura support site or checked right through the sofware menu (File->Open, File->Save as)

There is a patch for Windows 7 at www.future-support.com. That site is an amazing resource for the Futuras!!

Most probably you have a pc with Windows 7 or Windows Vista/XP 64 bit that are supported since latest Futura software versions. For 64bit support you will need a version 3.0.0.7 and higher, for WIndows 7 support a latest update 3.0.0.9

Hi I had the same problem sent question to Singer and this was their reply

"Do you have Vista 32-bit or Vista 64-bits? Unfortunately the CE-100/200 machine will not be compatible with either Vista 64-bit systems or the newest Windows 7 computers. The CE-100/200 will only be compatible with Windows 98 through Vista 32-bit operating systems.

This appears to be a hardware issue and not something that we will be able to create a patch to correct. Drivers necessary for 64-bit operating systems are not compatible with the CE-100/200 machines." so I guess we are SOL

I have installed my Futura CE 150 software but when I connect to the machine, I get an error message - saying the cable in not connected or power is off. Tried to repeat several times but its not working. Please help!

After reading through your problem, I began doing some research. You are correct with your initial assumption. Singer at this time, does not support Vista 64bit Operating System. They will support it on Vista 32bit, but even then you would have to install it in what is called, "Compatability Mode." Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to have many vendors not have their software work on 64bit systems. Many programs/applications were only written to work on 32bit systems. If you use the standard FUTURA software. you will have to buy an add-on for the Software.

Singer offers an add-on called Hyperfont which allows to digitize any true type font on the computer.

The software is available in stores and online, but be sure to get the right version for your software. There are versions for the Futura CE150, CE 250 etc, and there are other versions for the CE100 and CE200, so be careful.

You should also keep in mind that although you can digitize any true type font with this software, not every font is suitable for embroidering and will stitch out nicely.

Hi quackquack I was having the same problem with windows vista. If you go back on the futura website there is a patch to download which will install autopunch. Linda
