Dongle for sewing machine can't be activated

When I bought the machine I did not have a p.c. so my dealer put a lot of designs on the dongle for me. She said she couldn't finish putting the designs on the dongle because it would not accept any more. Now I have a p.c. and installed the software but the dongle will not activate. Do I have to purchase another dongle?

It could be you need a new software program or patch for the newer version of Windows.

Check with your dealer.

I received my replacement dongle that was damaged from my dealer..it says this dongle already registered but I can't activate it..dealer says viking problem..viking says dealer problem...can you help

Hello, VaDonna -

Fixya.com has no affiliation with the Husqvarna Viking company or any of its sewing machine dealers.

Did you speak with a real person at Husqvarna Viking machine support about the dongle problem?

What do I do with the dongle for my mc 11000 i haven't use machine for a while and lost everything on laptop?

I think a dongle is same as USB, therefore you put the required designs onto the USB then put it into the USB port on your machine. This enables you to have access to designs other than what is already on your sewing maching.
Hope this is what you are looking fore
Good Luck

How do I activate my dongle for 4D Monogramming and Vision software when it tells me that I can't?

I don't have 4D, so this is a guess, but I do use a lot of different embroidery design software programs. That message sounds like possibly the software has not been installed. If you're positive all was completely installed, It might be a good idea to call 4D support for their advice. If you are installing on a new computer be sure the software is compatible with your operating system. You might need to uninstall and reinstall and if so this PDF for 4D Installation Instructions might help: http://www.learn4d.com/media/How$20to$20install$204D$20Monogram$20and$20Vision.pdf

I have purchased 5D Professional and cannot get the dongle installed, I have put the correct product activation code in and it has been recognised but will not accept that the dongle is inserted in my USB...

I purchased 5D pro and have the same problem. I contacted Viking and was told it was a known problem with no fix. I was instructed to take the dongle to my dealer to see if they can activate it.

Cannot activate Dongle H0031

I am having the same problem with Premier+. The dongle is activated, and the activation code shows up in the software registration linked to the HASP key, but when I open the software I get the error message H0031. I tried to activate the dongle again using the activation code in Premier Configure, and it seemed to work, but still I have the same issue in the program. I am using Windows 10 and hoping to hook it up to my Husqvarna Designer SE soon ! Very frustrating. The light on the dongle is solid red. I have tried removing the drivers and reinstalling, and tried both the drivers from Premier+ and also SafeNet (which are more current). Same issue with both

Can't find dongle for 4d embroidery. what do I do now?

If I wasn't writing this on Christmas Day, I would say "Ask for new software for Christmas". Seriously, the proper reply is Keep Looking! If you have registered your software you MIGHT be able to purchase a replacement dongle, but I would not hold out much hope for that. Contact your HV dealer and ask. Mostly, the value of the software is in the dongle and if it is lost then the replacement cost is the cost of the software i.e. lots!. Check your household insurance policy - you might be covered for the cost of the replacement. There are other embroidery software programs that work with the Designer1 machines e.g. Embird and Sew What and these are less than $200 which is way better than $2000.

I just bought a used Designer 1 ESS machine and I do not know how to use the dongle

You don't need a dongle for the sewing machine. You either have a dongle for the computer embroidery software in which case it goes in your computer when you've installed the software, or you have a USB stick that has the Husqvarna designs on it.

What colour is it? The USB sticks are blue, the 3D software dongles are red. Only problem is, I think the 4D software dongles are blue too!! My Husqvarna Designer 1 USB embroidery stick (blue) has "USB Embroidery Stick" written on it - have a look for that. The dongle will have Hasp or something like that written on it.

If you are pretty sure it is a USB stick, put it in your machine and turn it on. Then touch the disk/stick icon on the lower right hand side of the screen. Your machine should start to read the stick and you will get a pop-up menu where you can choose from the folders on the stick. If you don't, go into the PROG screen. Touch MENU, touch the disk/stick icon and see if the embroidery files on the stick come up then. Each machine came with a set of designs called Embroidery Disk 100 and three alphabets - Palace Script, Kaligraphia and Clarendon. These should all be on the USB stick.

In the event that it is a dongle you have, but not the software, you need to contact the person from whom you purchased the machine.

You can download the Husqvarna designs from the Husqvarna website, but you will need a Husqvarna formatted USB stick to do this. Therefore, you do need software on your computer. There are some low-cost alternatives to the Husqvarna software - Embird and Sew What come to mind. However, a Husqvarna program called 3D Disk Manager USB came with every USB Designer 1 machine, so you should have got that when you purchased the machine. This will be enough for you to load designs from the HV website and from other websites where you purchase designs.

I cannot open any of my designs because I get a message "dongle not attached". I want to transfer my new designs from a cd to a floppy to use in my Designer I. This is very frustrating and I do not have...

I am assuming you have some sort of Husqvarna software which is now malfunctioning - is this correct? It must be Customizing or maybe 3D or the one that was between these two (can't remember what it was called) because dongles for 4D would still be available. I have three suggestions for you.
Firstly, look on eBay and other online places where used sewing software is sold - because this software is fairly old now, you might be able to pick up another copy of the same one you use. Just be sure that you get the registration number as well as the dongle. You won't be able to register the software with HV, but will need the number to install it.
Secondly, look for older and cheap used software from other sewing machine manufacturers (Brother, Janome etc). Just check first to see if it will convert designs to .shv and put them on a floppy disk that your machine will recognise.
My other suggestion and probably the best one is to consider purchasing some third party software which is a lot cheaper than the HV programs, such as Sew What or Embird. The basic Embird which will let you load designs for your Des.1 and also has some pretty cool editing tools is a little over $100. Not sure on the price of Sew What but a Google search should turn it up for you.

Husqvana designer1 embroidery machine

If you are using the 3D version of the Husqvarna Viking software, you may need to download the latest dongle drivers.
If it is 4D, you may need to update the dongle and you can do it yourself.
Check for support at:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/8588.htm or go to your local Husqvarna Viking dealer.

If you are trying to run 3D on a Vista computer it can be a little complicated. Let me know if this is the case.
