Hello,
The dishwasher leaks out both lower corners of the door whenever we run it. The gasket on the lower part of the door is completely gone. Where do I get a new one?
A common fault with Hobart dishwashers leaking from the door, is the cleaning plugs dropping out from underneath the wash arms. It causes wash pump water to spray on to the bootom of the tank, and when the arms rotate to a point near the door, it tends to spray out from the air gap at the bottom of the door. The diagnosis by Absolutserv is also correct, the gap is crucial to allow an air gap for thermal expansion. Hope it helps. Simon.
If I'm not mistaken, there is no lower door gasket. Typically, DW doors don't seal. Due to the temp of the water, when you load a rack a burst of cold air is also loaded in the machine. The DW starts a cycle and cause the air to warm and expand. The doors will always gurgle during a cycle.
The key to reducing this is to make sure the level of the unit it proper. Slightly higher in front. The front lower channel should guide the water back into the unit. Also, don't leave the door open unless you're removing or starting a rack. The warmer the cavity stays, the less the air will expand.
