Hi, could just be platter not fitted hard down on spindle. I suggest you remove the platter and place it upon a dead flat surface to check to see that the platter is flat. If it is flat refit to turntable ensuring it is hard down on the spindle. If bent discard and replace with new platter.Platters can be ordered for all model 1200/1210 from [email protected]

Technics SL-1200MK5 voltage or fuse problem

To change it from the 110 to 220 the switch is under the turntable platter. Put your fingers in the 2 holes under the slip matts and pull up evenly. It may be a little hard but it will come off. As for the fuse...its inside the deck. Unscrew the feet and all the screws. the black rubber part will come off. Good luck!

I recently purchased a used Technics 1200-MK2 turntable. Aside from the obvious wear and tear, there is one issue that I can not seem to fix. One the pitch slider, the factory set zero (green light is on)...

sound like the pitch has been tampered with.
Right you felling confer dent if so get your self a Philips screwdriver switch the deck off & unplug it under the slip mat there are two big holes put your fingers in them then twist & pull the platter off its always a mission because of the magnetic brakes.
when you've got it off undo the 5 screws that hold the plastic cover on, then you'll see a circuit board on the top right hand side which has 2 pot one named BRAKE the other PITCH adjust the PITCH anticlockwise until it's slot is pointing up straight put it all back together but dont put the screws back in just yet.
test it first if it's still not right repeat this proses untill you nail it.
GOOD LUCK if you get stuk e-mail me [email protected]

After mixing for a while the turntable (1200 technics mk5) starts to lose the pitch or the record starts jerking up near the -5 or -6.

hi! there is a problem inside your turntable (on the main board) check the components  TRANSISTOR    Q2, Q3,  ZENER DIODE   D3..

CHANGE IT IF POSSIBLE..

Pitch Slider

You more than likely have to have the pitch control replaced or cleaned.

Technics 30th Aniv Edition - help with break speed.

Do you recall the adjustment you made? That brake switch under the hod is real sensitive. For starters, try pulling back half way from which you adjusted, to get a sense of sensitivity. Did you alter the pitch switch at all?
