I have the Timex mid size sports 1440 MWR50M watch and I accedentally set it to the military time. I don't know how to get it off military time or even how I got it on the military time. I set it to ,for example, 8:00 and then at 1:00 It says 13:00 and so on. Can you help me set it back to the standard time?

If your set up is: Top-Left=Indiglo Top-Right=St./Stop Bottom-Left=Mode Bottom-Right=Lap/Reset

Than follow these steps:
1. Press Lap/Reset and hold. You should see the time the alarm was set for.
2. While holding Lap/Reset, press Mode.
3. Let go of all buttons.
4. There you go!

Hope that was a help

I came on here trying to find the same thing.  I accidentally got it back to 12 hour time by pressing the mode and lap/reset button at the same time when I was changing the time.  Hope it helps!

It looks like, as a general rule, there are two cycles/sets of 24 hours on a watch. By setting the hour all the way through the PM cycle, you can see if you are on military or normal time (e.g. if you're on military and want to change, keep pushing the hour-setting button through to the next PM cycle.)

For format:
top left: set
top right: start/stop
bottom left: mode
bottom right: indiglo
to set from military to 12 hour format, do the following:
hold "set" while in time mode and its in 24 hour format
then keep pressing "mode" until u get to the screen that says "hr" in the top left corner. when there press "mode" and the bottom right will change from 24 to 12. and then your done. hope it helps.

While in the time mode, press and holdlap/rst for two seconds.
The seconds will begin to blink.
Press st/stop to reset seconds to zero
Press mode and the minutes will begin to blink.
Press st/stop to advance the minutes
Press mode and the hour will begin to blink.
Press st/stop to advance the hour
Press mode and the day and date will appear. The day will blink.
Press st/stop to advance the day.
Press mode and the month will begin to blink.
Press st/stop to month the minutes.
Press lap/rst to return to normal state with you new settings. You can hit lap/rst to return to normal state at any time in the process, for example if you only want to set the minutes, just hit lap/rst after you set the minutes.

For military time (or 24 hour format), I found it on the timex website under kids digital watch instructions. Apparenly many kids watches have this, but not the adults!

    http://assets.timex.com/manuals/?timexBr...

    Hopefully you have this configuration

    Upper left button is SET

    Lower left button is MODE

    Upper right button is START/STOP

    Lower left button is DATE

Press and hold SET. Hour digits will blink.

Press START/STOP or DATE to change hour digits, go thru 12 hours for am or pm.

    Press MODE to select minutes.

Press START/STOP or DATE to change minutes.

Repeat to set Month, Date, Day, 12 or 24 hour display (military time) Day-Month or Month-Day date display.

3. Press the bottom left button. This flashes the hour; press the top right button until you have the correct hour (there is no symbol for am, pm will show if pm).

4. Press the bottom left button, minutes flash. Press the top right button until correct minutes.

5. Press the bottom left button, month flashes. Press the top right button until correct.

6. Press bottom left button, date flashes. Press the top right button until correct.

8. Press bottom left button, time format flashes (can be set to 24 hour clock). If correct, you're done. Press top left button if you're done (can be pressed at any step if you're finished).

To turn off the chime and alarm: Press bottom left until in the alarm screen. Then press the top right button repeatedly until the CHIME or CH symbol is gone and/or ALARM or ALM to disappear, then press the bottom left button to go back to main time.
