This could be because the "anti flood device" polystireen float and micro switch at the base of the washer has detected a water leak from a leaky hose or water spil) This device automatically puts the pump out motor on and stops any washing process. You need to dry the base of the washer and determine what caused the water spill. This should start the washing prosess.

Your dishwasher is equipped with a safety system which is able to
detect any operating anomalies. These anomalies are reported by
one or two wash cycle indicator lights "G" flashing rapidly.

I have a adg7560/1. the cycle starts but ends after a few minutes. the light flashes four times

Run the dishwasher through a test mode

Test Mode

Make sure the appliance is empty of water before running Diagnostics as it does not pump out before starting to fill and therefore you could overfill the appliance.
Open the door and set the program to the first program. (Normally rinse).
Turn the power off.
Press and hold the start button and while holding turn the power on.
After a little while the start button will flash, release the button.
Press the start button once and close the dishwasher door.
The machine will now run through a diagnostic routine.
Should take about 20 mins.
The machine will stop during diagnostics if an error is found and will display the error code. If no error is found it will complete the diagnostics and end the programme.

To exit diagnostics at any time just press and hold the start button till the programme is cancelled

Have a Whirlpool Dishwasher 6ADP 5540. Starts cycle - fills water then about a minute into it the start buttons flashes 6 times and will not continue on. Very rarely, the cycle does continue on. Have...

Hi Jodie,

An F6 fault code - indicated by the green light flashing in sequence next to the start button - is indicative of a water inlet problem.

First of all check that the water tap the dishwaher connected to is fully open. If this does not work check that the feed pipe from the water source to the appliance is not blocked.

If neither of these two things are the problem then you will need to order a new flow meter/ reed switch and this will sort your problem out.

The Whirlpool UK spare part number you'll need is 481241868368

Hope this helps

I have a Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher. Water will

Hello,
Try tipping the dishwasher back to see if any water drains out from below if there is water present then the anti-flood device is energised and stopping water coming into the unit.If it works now after resetting then there is a leak under the machine that needs investigating. You can try going into the diagnostics to read the alarms. If you hold in the first and third button from the left on programmer, whilst holding in then press the on/off button then when the lights start racing release these 2 buttons. You should now be in the diagnostics, now press the first button once and count the flashes of the end of cycle LED.If this button is pressed 2 more times it will give the previous alarms.1 flash could indicate fault on inlet water and valve.2 flashes drain circuit blocked.3 flashes anti-flood device.8 flashes faulty circuit board.Make sure after reading alarms to switch off unit then on then off to reset. Then go back into the diagnostics as before to reset alarms but this time press button 2 from left all LEDS will flash after exit as before.

Hope this helps.

Hi, our Indesit IDL500 dishwasher has stopped working. The fault light 2 is flashing. The manual doesn't mention what fault this indicates. Any ideas. Cheers, Neil

Hi Niel, If you were to start the cycle from the beginning, where in the cycle does this occur? . So many code numbers for so many units, hard to keep up .Just note if heating is taking place and if drainage is correct. Hear from you soon.

4 flashes and beeping

4 flashes indicates a drain failure. Could be obstruction in drain system-first check drainhose for kinks, check where drain hose attaches to wastepipe spigot for blockage. If OK blockage may be in pump- disconnect from power, remove bottom panels to access under machine. Drain pump located front left- remove plug from pump, then there is a plastic tag on top of pump you must push down, then drain pump will turn and come off (it comes off easily if tag pressed correctly, so don't force it!!)
If pump OK, fault will be with water indicator switch-sometimes get full of muck. Open dishwasher door, remove filters and clean out any water from base. Right in the bottom right hand side of sump you will see a round black grill- this is water level indicator switch. If it looks blocked up, advise replacing (you can try cleaning, but replacing is best). To replace, access from under machine-again, this switch turns and pulls out, but can be quite difficult due to it being located behind the heating tube.
So, check hoses and pump, then press and hold start button for 3 seconds- this clears fault and resets machine. Try another cycle-if OK, problem solved. Recommend expert assistence to replace water indicator switch.

Dishwasher flashes on Fast Wash

I am hoping I have just fixed mine with same problem. Couple weeks ago started stopping at start of cycle with fast button flashing. Check filters so one on top of unside machine and one on tap if you have one on there. Mine were blocked but still wouldnt work. I pulled out machine to find a kink in the water pipe. I have straightened this out and up to now its working. Fast button flashing refers to water inlet problem.

Dishwasher error codes please help

I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo

Have a trouble: dish-washer will not drain.

I just moved into a new house and builder had provided a dish washer drain just below my kitchen drain line.

DIsh washer install was done by me, every thing worked out OK except dish washer would not drain after a wash cycle.

Cause: drain provided by builder was blocked and needed a circular small cut before mounting drain hose over it.
