Accessories I want to know where I can get a manual and remote control for this model. I have the unit and the ducting tube. Do I need anything else?

The primary air path that isn't the lower brush unit goes up the handle. It will only have suction when the unit is in the full upright position (common to a lot of Dyson models). See the manual for how to click the hose/tube out and attach accessories.

Google the model number of the unit itself for "manual" to see if you can find it for free.

The only instruction manual I can find online for this model is for a SANYO DVW-7200 combo unit. This manual does not illustrate in any detail about remote control 'reset'; only the unit itself using remote to 'initialize' back to factory settings (except parental lock).

If the unit does not respond to the remote control;

Check if the power plug is connected to an AC outlet.

Check the batteries in the remote control.

Aim the remote control directly at the remote sensor. If necessary, remove all the obstacles
between the sensor and the remote control.

You have to be within 23 feet of this unit.

Check if the right mode is selected. If it's not in the right mode, press [DVD] or [VCR],
whichever you need, on the remote control.

Check if a cassette tape is in this unit.

Tune your radio to an empty AM station so that you hear a lot of noises. Turn the volume up,
then if you hear some signal sound from the radio in response to your pressing buttons on
the remote control, the remote control is working.

This model does have a way to turn off progressive scan if it is enabled by accident:

press and hold [PLAY] button on front of unit for 5 - 10 seconds then release. This should revert the unit back to normal interlace (if required).

I do not know how to solve it without using remote control, but you can order a replacement remote control for your unit from Panasonic part website. A new Remote Control will cost you $24.72 plus tax and shipping. Just type the model number, SC-HT1500, scroll down to find "Find Parts & Accessories" on the right, click on it. The pop-up windows appears. Choose SAHT1500, for main unit, and you will go to the page where you can order many parts for your unit. II think it is worth to invest to a new remote control since many features do not work without it. I found my operators manual.

You need to have remote control to perform tuning for radio because unit has no control buttons to do so.
You can get remote from Sony Accessories. Please write model number DAV-S300 in search box to get result.
