HP Business Inkjet 1200

I have now tried to clean and calibrate the Print Heads, but with no success. In fact, to clean the Print Heads, the printer should print a page where I can see if it is fine. However, as soon as the PC sends this page to the printer, it would show briefly in the Print Queu and would dissapear after a second or two. In the meantime the printer does not react on this and still indicated that the Black and/or Yellow cartridge needs to be replaced.
Please help.
I have already loaded brand new ink cartridges.
The Repair Shop reported that they already fixed a firmware bug.
The Printer worked correctly once or twice after that.
Do I need to re-install the Printer Driver?
I only have the Printer Driver on the CD that came with the Printer - do I need a newer version of the Printer Driver?
Please advise.

Only the Printhead light is on; none of the colors
Took printheads out to clean & found a lot of ink in the area below them & some dried ink-crud on the plastic flap under the printheads. I bought this printer new from HP in 2004 & have never had to clean printheads til now.

Took printer apart to cleanup the mess. reassembled with cleaned printheads. No difference.

Am able to print & appears to work ok, but don't know for how long.
Used the reset procedure in the manual to reset printer, still have Printhead light on.
Am using original drivers I installed when purchased machine I think.
Mine is the HP Business Inkjet 1200d
    Thanks in advance.

False ink empty

Are you sure its exclamation mark?..
This warning message related to print head. (warn out). When you are replacing ink tube assembly use dummy print heads to do the priming (new ink tubes are empty & they have to fill with ink)..
Action: Remove all cartridges and print heads, switch on the printer follow the screen message.(Insert cartridges first next dummy print heads).once its recognizes cartridges then it switch over to print heads, insert dummy print heads. Once printer recognized the dummy print heads, printer will perform priming, during priming dummy print heads will filled with respective inks.(follow the display message)Remove dummy print heads & insert normal print heads. Wait till printer recognizes print heads, load the paper & wait till performs the calibration, once calibration is successfully done issue closed.
If calibration not successfully done, check align print out for which print head is not printed properly, replace it..
Pl ensure that minimum 50% ink levels required in cartridges before performing the priming. Best of luck..

HP Business Inkjet 1200 printer always prints the Alignment Page

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
