My problem is my usb kinston 8 gig was overwrite protected how to format this usb

There are two ways to make a drive write-protected.

1. Physical switch on the USB Drive.
2. Using the firmware of the USB Drive.

If your USB Drive does have a small switch on the outside then you can try to move it to the other position and see if that helps.

If your USB Drive does not have a physical switch that means that a firmware based write-protect has been enabled.

The only way to fix this problem is to contact the person you received the USB Drive from and have them reformat the USB Drive.

Do not showing full space

Hi,

I think the problem is due to a virus. Your system or hard drive (PAN drive) might have a virus. It is the virus causing your hard drive not showing full space. i suggest you install a good antivirus to your computer like kaspersky and NOD32 and scan the PAN drive and formate it.
go to kioskea downloads - system - formatting, and download the USB DISK STORAGE FORMAT TOOL,
intall it on your pc and use it to format your drive. its simple ans easy. another way is-
You can format the pen drive from hp usb disk format util.. u can download form following link

Kinston Flashrdrive says it is full.

Dude you have been hit by a virus which keeps on replicating its self; I guess you can try scanning it 1st, if the problem persist you can consider formating it
