Flash is not working. All other functions are working properly except the flash does not fire even after I reset to factory defaults. I set the flash to fire with every picture, but with no result. My flash has always worked fine until a couple days ago. I was taking pictures inside at night but the flash would not work. Does the camera indicate that the flash is turned on? In most olympus cameras I have seen there is a lightning blot at the lower left corner of the screen. Verify that it is indeed there and let me know.
Have you tried to reset the camera back to factory defaults to see if it is maybe a setting that has the flash disabled? To reset the camera: go to Menu - left arrow to reset and press ok. Highlight yes and press ok. This will put the camera in factory default settings. See if the flash works now. If you see a red squiggly flash arrow blinking on the screen constantly, this is actually a repair issue and the camera would need to be serviced to replace the flash charging indicator switch. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.
