Cost of the display panel will exceed the cost of a new set not counting labor----sorry, but this is fatal.

Your part# for the lenticular screen is TKG2AH50641. Panasonic has them new for $358.65 plus shipping. Or you might be able to find one cheaper if you google it or find someone that has the same model TV that doesn't work anymore.

a cracked or damaged screen which is called a display panel if even available will cost more than the set did new, it is fatal which is why none of the companies list the part number in the service manual--sorry but if cracked etc time to save up and go buy another set.

LCD screens are extremely fragile and Plasma also to a lesser degree so some stores do offer insurance against this kind of damage.

The screen of the hd7's is made using corning's gorilla glass. Technically but also simply put, it's made of a single sheet of glass, spreading along all the front side of the phone. Glass is being used since it's more resistant to scratches and is a good electrical insulator, a needed property in the making of capacitive type touchscreens.
If you have a crack, most probably the surface area was broken due to some mechanical shock. Like any piece of glass, once broken it can't be fixed, it doesn't work like fixing a scratch on a plastic cover by polishing it. In fact i recommend you to leave it like this and try to cover it with the screen protector. The surface on the glass layer contains a special compound of transparent conductive polymers used to register screen taps. Actually this is what you touch when using the screen. It's not recommended that you try to polish the screen because you can accidentally remove this layer.

So, again simply put and sorry to make it this way, the wisest thing would be to either try to live with it or change the digitizer layer (glass front cover) but the last option can prove to be a bit expensive. Again, sorry for not being able to provide a more nicer solution.

Replacing the front glass entails completely disassembling the entire TV. Your best bet is to look for a broken TV with a good front glass.

if your phone's touch screen has not developed any cracks, it could have damaged the touch interface internally, i would suggest getting your phone checked at nearest Samsung authorized service centre

If your screen is not having a crack on it then there is a possibility that it can work again.

But if it has a crack then you need to buy a new screen.
