As for the remote, with a nail board (used for finger nails) lightly sand off the battery and battery contacts, with this file because such low voltage 3 v.d.c.(on the remote control) any corrosion on contacts even tho you can't see it can't pass current needed for proper operation/as for the compressor, replace the start relay and overload on the A/C unit and you should be good to go again

Why does menu keeps poping up non-stop when watching tv but when sky box is paused this does not happen, why????

Can you use a digital camera to view your remote to see if it is sending out signals when it should not? It might have dirty buttons from food or other dirt. This can cause it to send signals even when the buttons are not being pressed.

My sst 7752v viper remote will not unlock my doors, it just beeps. I cant get into my truck without my remote... please help

how old is the remote is a question to consider. the batteries might just be too low to send a strong enough signal for the truck's transponder to receive. does the remote need to be coded to the truck if not more than likely its weak batteries. the LCD display doesn't need much power to light up, but the remote does to send the signal.

Sylvania 32 inch LC320ssx

It seems that the set itself changes inputs. Place it remote control away from the vicinity of the tV. and check. If it does the same, do a hard reset next. To make it a hard reset, unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and replug it back after 10 minutes or so. If these do not help you, be sure that the main system control memory IC to it is faulty and should be replaced.

FROM THE AIRWELL RC-4 REMOTE CONTROL MANUAL

NOTE THE COMMENT ABOUT THE RESET AND THE SIMULTANEOUS SELECTION OF THE + - SET and CLEAR BUTTONS to effect a reset after replacingg batteries

HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES Remove the lid in the rear part of the remote control unit.
Insert two AAA alkaline batteries of 1,5 V-DC. Make sure the batteries point in the direction marked in the battery compartment.
The batteries last about six months. Depending on how much you use the remote control unit. Remove the batteries if you do not use the remote control unit for more than one month. Press the +, -, SET and CLEAR buttons together after batteries replacement.
(This operation allows you to reset correctly all the programs. The remote control unit is to be set up again).Replace the batteries when the remote control unit lamp fails to light, or when the air conditioner does not receive the remote control unit signals.
The batteries of the remote control contain polluted substances exhausted batteries must be disposed according to the laws in force.

Remote control stopped working

The problem can be in the IR receiver, it either not getting the 5vdc, or it failed, or the logic board is bad.
You will need to find out if the signal get to the logic board when the IR receiver gets the signal from the remote control.

Our devices suddenly stopped responding to the logitech signals.

If you removed the battery, you may have to reprogram it. will need the make and model number off the bottom of the remote, and what you want to program it to, (TV,--VCR,etc)...hope this was helpful..

Doesn work at all

I've had the same problem. Get the technical assistance phone # out of the manual that came with the fan. They can give you the proper part # so that you can then call Home Depot and special order the receiver. However, I have done this and then installed the new receiver as advised by Hampton Bay and I still am unable to get the remote to operate the fan or the lights. I know the fan works becaue I bypassed the receiver and wired directly to house power. I don't know if perhaps I have a bad transmitter (remote). I'll try that next. The fan worked for about a year, now its just a headache.

JVC TH55 home cinema system

If the remote is sending a signal and the unit isn't responding, the remote may need a reboot. If someone accidentally pressed multiple buttons at the same time, that can cause the remote to send multiple signals at the same time and that can cause the unit not to respond because it doesn't recognize the signal being sent.

The reboot is easy. All you do is remove the batteries and then press all of the buttons on the remote one at a time while they are out. After you've done that, you can put the batteries back in and usually that fixes the issue.
