Hi, This sounds like it is not a problem with the remote, but more like the channels have been "skipped" in the tuning menu of your TV.
To Fix, enter the tuning menu on your TV and set the "skip" or "clear" to OFF for all the channels you want to watch, then the program+ & - buttons should then work for you

Sharp LC-37DB5U stuck on one channel. Won't respond to anything. Put in a new motherboard and same problem persists. Sound and picture are fine

I could be wrong, but it sounds like the TV hasn't gone through channel setup. You have to do this in order for the TV to "learn" the channels, assuming you are using cable. If you are using cable run channel search in the setup menu and see if that changes anything. Can you change channels by manually entering in the channel # and hitting enter?

Sharp TV-Remote not working correctly

You will need to complete a channel scan from the tvs menu. I assume you have basic cable and that your cable company is still providing analog channels for you to be able to pick up any transmission on this telvision with the digital changeover and all.

Channel buttons change input

Auto channel search is your friend. Once the tv has been through it and finds active channels, your channel button should work the way you envision.

Mitsubishi WS-65611 tv channels cannot stop scrolling

Check to make sure the channel down button is not stuck. If it is not the button is probably defective. Mits has had a lot of problems with the buttons.

RCA Colortrak 2000 remote control will do everything except change channels.  I have Insight coax cable, just having disconnected from Direct TV satellite connection--only because new apartment does not...

I called RCA's 800 number on the back of the owner manual--got a response that said to replace the unit since only the up-down channel changer buttons were not working. Using another remote (universal) now--cost only $5.

RM-AV2100

Either the channel up and down buttons have both broken (unlikely) or everything else is working except the remote is not telling the device you are controlling to change the channel up or down.

Since all the other buttons are working well, that also requires that the receiving end of the pair to be working well, thus ruling out problems on that end.

Solution: Reprogram your remote to support the appropriate channel up/down codes for your TV/Tuner in question.

32 inch sylvania tv

This problem is caused by your TV's V-chip setting.

To fix the problem:

Push the "Menu" button (on either the remote or the TV's fromt panel).
Use the "Channel Down" button to go to "V-CHIP SETUP"
Use the "Volume Up" button to select it.
In the V-chip setup screen, the rating that is selected by the user as viewable will allow that rating and only lower ratings to be viewed on that TV. (If TV-G) is selected, then any programs rated higher than TV-G will be blocked.

So, the easistway to get rid of any blocking is to set the rating to TV-MA (mature), and then any and all programs will be viewable on that set. Select "TV-MA" by hitting the "Volume Up" button after you have scrolled down to that rating with the "Channel Down" button.

Then hit "Menu" to exit out of the settings and saave your changes.
