Want to play and save data ps1 games on ps2

    Tryed that, the ps1 card says it is saving but dosnt. Got a off brand ps1 card from E-bay guy said it would work , it didnt. F.Y.I. Gamestop dosnt sell ps1 equip. Not in MN. Have gotten ps1 card to work ? What brand ?

Ok, u must have a PS1 memory card in order to save PS1 games. the common PS2 memory card will not save old style game data. for a good place to get a PS1 memory card, a local Gamestop store, or Ebay. good luck man.

    factory, off-brands are usually no good, i got a PS1 Sony card i can sell ya if ur interested 0_^

uhmm.....now that is a stumper..., ill ask u this: does the PS1 memory card have any space let on it? (is it full)...if not...well then, im at a loss =/

You can't save PS1 games on a PS2 memory card. You need to buy a PS1 memory card to save PS1 games. The PS1 card will plug into the standard memory slot on a PS2, but the insides are different.

I'm playing PSone games on my Ps2 and I am using a playstation one memory card. My ps2 loads from the memory card, but when I try to save data onto my ps1 memory card the ps2 freezes on the load screen.
YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY ON YOUR PS1 CARD AND THE PS2 DOES'T KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU THIS BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY PROGRAMED TO SAY NOT ENOUGH MEMORY WITH A PS2 MEMORY CARD. TO PLAY OFF YOU SAVED DATA TRY TRANSFERRING YOUR MEMORY TO A COMOUTER THEN TO A PS2 MEMORY CARD... BEST OF LUCK

if you use a PS2 to play PS1 games, you need to use a PS1 memory card.

Ps1 disc playing in ps2
Are you inserting a PS2 or a PS1 memory card?
PS1 games can't use a PS2 card because they don't "understand" how to read them.
To save a PS1 game on a PS2 you will need a PS1 memory card.

I hope this helps, I assume this is what you are referring to with your question.

Your question is somewhat confusing, using a playstation 2 memory card, will have PS2 game saves on it, how would you play PS2 games on a PS1 from the save, you can't. If you just mean you are using a PS2 card for a PS1, the way a PS2 card saves data is different to a PS1 card, so it probably won't work You can use your PS1 memory cards in the PS2. You can only use the PS1 memory cards to save PS1 games that you are playing in your PS2. You can't save any PS2 game data to a PS1 memory card
