Lost the beep on my timex watch alarm

Just replaced the battery and now the alarm won't beep on my timex watch/chrono/timer/alarm. in fact the watch makes no sound at all, including confirming beeps when buttons pressed. i have already checked the settings to make sure the "beep" function is set to "on". the alarm appears to be set and just goes off silently. same with timer: no beep when timer reaches zero. i can't figure out if there is a setting that I'm missing or if i fried something when changing the battery or what.

Try taking the back off and orientating it the other way (i.e. turn top for bottom). You don't have to screw it down to see if this will work. As soon as the back clicks in you will be able to hear beeps as you press the buttons

As you are not watchmaker, you definitely lost coil spring, which is transmitting sound signal from watch's movement to the sound membrane. This happens very often with people who do not know how the watch is built. No worries, though. Any nearest watch repair shop can fix it. Rate me, plz.

Make sure you put the sticker back on. I threw mine in the garbage and had to use a tape. Alarm wouldnt go off without the tape.

Timex Men's Digital Expedition Chrono Alarm Timer Watch battery

hi
please follow the steps to change the battery
  1. Step 1 Make sure the little arrow on the back is aimed to the right. Then, insert a small flat head screwdriver into the notch on the edge, and lever the back open. Place the back to one side.
  2. Step 2 Unscrew the clip holding the battery (if your model has a clip), and remove the battery.
  3. Step 3 Use plastic tweezers to put in a new battery. Do not directly touch the new battery. Screw the clip (if it has one) back on.
  4. Step 4 Replace the gasket that seals the watch. Then lightly coat the gasket with a silicone-based grease.
  5. Step 5 Align the back with the little arrow aimed to the right again, then carefully press the watch between two pieces of wood that are being held by a small vise, until the back seats itself.
thank you....

Timex Sleek stopped beeping when I replaced the battery

This is a common problem when non watch educated people are changing battries themselves.
The answer is simple: While changing battery and handling the watch you did lost the coil spring. It is so small, you will never notice that the something was dropped.
Coilspring is the connector to the sound membrane of the watch, transfering microprocessor signals to audible membrane.
If it's lost, there is no connection between watch movement and audio membrane.
I suggest that you did change batteries yourself previously and had the same outcome (no sound). Next time you gonna change the battery - make sure you do not turn the watch upside down and if you do - check the movement with eyeglass and make sure all the loose fitted bits are in place.
To get your both watches fixed visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for coilspring to be fitted.

You probably lost SPRING COIL while changing battery. It connects movement to sound membrane. See watchmaker to sort this.
