I accidently put my power wire into ground terminal and ground wire on power side for a second and it sparked. The amp power light still comes on but the sub barely movees. Is there any way i can fix this without sending it in to be repaired?

Even though there is a large diode inside of the amp to protect from reverse power wire hook up this does not always work to protect the amp. Sometimes it wil protect the amp and the amp will work for a day or so then completely quit, all amps are different. In your case your power supply mosfets are burnt, shorted and need to be replaced. Also the gate resistors need to be checked to be sure they are fine. These resistors go to the gate pin on the power supply mosfets and they lower the current going in to the mosfets. Also the output mosfets need to be checked. Sometimes they get shorted out even though they are not part of the power supply, sometimes they do get shorted when the power wires get reversed during hookup. As I said each amp is different and will react differently when this occurs. I have a small business repairing car amps and installing and selling car audio, also any electronics repair, TV's,stereos, Flat screens, DVD players, etc. I have over 20 years experience and I am the cheapest in th USA for repairs. I am the cheapest cause I'm tired of seeing people getting ripped off and charged way too much. I offer allot of services to, like 90 day warranties, new birth certificates for car amps or one for an amp that never came with ne, no bench fee. So if anyone needs repairs you can contact me through here or at 727-247-5779. My name is Mark and my business name is Mark's Car Audio & Amp Repair. I do allot of repairs from this site. Thank you. I hope this helps.

Put new fuel pump in 2010 chevy express 3/4 ton van have no power to fuse its grounded on both sides only one power to fuel pump relay

I don't know liter size of engine? The relay has two sides, the load side and the control side. The load side, looks like open switch, left side. Terminal 87 is hot all the time. The right side of relay is control side, needs voltage and ground. On the control side, dark green wire with white tracer is voltage, comes from pcm. The black wire is chassis ground.
Are you missing anything else? Engine cranking, you have spark at the plugs where applicable, and fuel injector pulse? With engine cranking, if your missing everything, I'd have to check rpm signal.

Has spark no injector pulse has power to the injectors

No pulse means the injector ground side is absent, since you have power to the injectors. The ground wire goes into the engine computer to be internally grounded for the pulse. You can test the injector ground side with a test light, as a verification of it not having pulse. If it really has no pulse, but it has correct voltage to the injector solenoid, then you have a bad injector, or a bad ground wire to the pcm, or a bad pcm.

Use a test light with a ground clip and a needle-type probe. Unplug the injector connector and note which is the power wire terminal and which is the ground wire terminal. Clip the test light lead to the POSITIVE battery post, and put the probe into the injector's ground wire terminal. Now have someone crank the engine over and watch for a blinking light on the tester. If you have a blinking light, the injector ground side is working right, so check if voltage to the injector is correct, or if you have a bad injector. If you have no blinking light, then no pulse is correct. You will need to check the ground wire to the computer before assuming a bad computer. I think they are called quad drivers inside the computer that control the injector grounds.

Best way to check that ground wire is, first, take off the negative battery cable, then pull off the computer connectors, then use an ohmmeter to check resistance of wire from injector terminal to the pin on the computer's connector. Low resistance, low ohms, means the wire is good. ...But first I guess you will have to find the pin-out diagram for the computer, where and on which connector that ground wire goes in at. There's around a hundred or more wires going in, so color coding, tracing by the color of the wire would be a royal pain. Good luck, Scott.

96 blazer power windows dont work l can make them go up n down with a power probe the whole drivers door is a positive ground ??

Grounds are negative

Body is ground side of electrical system

Only the wires in a vehicle are positive, in reference
to ground or non wired side,IF you talking about measuring
voltage

Current is opposite
Electrons flow neg to pos

Your Spark Plugs (Spark- jumps) from the ground strap to the
center electrode (current flow)

What your saying is your putting battery voltage directly to or at
a switch terminal & the window motor is good, but not the switching
or wiring side of circuit

Would be nice to have the factory wiring book ,wouldn't it

I never walk to any vehicle without one, if I have a volt meter in
my hand for any reason

I have a 97 chev suburban 350 and no power to the fuel pump ,new fuel pump, fuel pump relay fuse is new, checked all wiring no cracks or breaks all along from fuse s to pump all good, just when i turn key is...

I would interrogate the fuel pump relay socket with a voltmeter or test light. There should be one hot terminal from the ecm b fuse. There should be a terminal that has chassis ground for the relay coil. The positive terminal for the relay coil comes from the ecm when the key is on. If you have trouble interpreting the results of these troubleshooting steps, feel free to comment back. The circuit is on the right of the diagram about 1/3 down the page.

Electrical prblem

There would be a fuel pump fuse, either under dash or under hood. Check that fuse, use the test light to see if fuse has power. If not, then it might be a fusible link or maxi-fuse that feeds the fuse panel. If fuse has power with key on, pull the relay, and use the test light and probe relay terminals, key off. One terminal should be hot at all times. If not, check for power loss between battery and relay terminal-possibly a maxi-fuse or fuse link.
If relay does have power to terminal, quickly check other terminals while someone turns key to on-for about 2 seconds, another terminal should show power-this would be signal from computer to turn the relay on to prime the lines and fuel rail. If you have that, plug relay in and cycle key. Does relay click? If yes, relay is working and problem may be at fuel pump connector. If relay is not working, but you have power to it, and the short signal from computer is there, then check the relay's coil side ground. Computer signals the coil side and the signal goes to ground from relay coil side.
Pull the relay and use a jumper wire from relay's hot terminal to fuel pump terminal-the wire to pump from the relay. If pump comes on, the problem is right there at the relay-either no signal from computer or the relay coil's ground is lost. If pump does not come on, again check connector at pump-that or the wire to pump[ has a problem.

Put new battery in a month ago, now when i turn key on nothing happens, no dash indicator lights come and nothing happens when key is turned on

Possible errors are either incomplete or non-load generator ground connections between the engine and car body.

No power to the amp i touched the power wire to the side of the amp

It probably burned a trace on the circuit board.

With the amp hooked up normally and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage), do you read 12v DC anywhere on the case of the amp (black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp)?

If there is no voltage on the case, confirm that you have 12v on the B+ and remote terminals of the amp (black probe on ground terminal of the amp).

Amp problem

Are you sure that the terminal isn't shorted to the case of the amp?

If it's not, the amp probably has a shorted output transistor.

If you want to repair it yourself, read through the following page. It explains the basics. Let me know if you have any questions.
