Hi,

the problem can be solved.Did you download any data from the internet or did you transfer data from any other device?.

If yes , that means in the process of transferring data into the i pod or from any other device to the i pod, some data might have been affected and the memory might have been corrupted by virus.

You need to flash the phone to so that the phone can restore back the lost memory of the phone.

Good luck and have a nice day.

Ipod froze

A white screen on an iPod Touch is the sign of a generic error, meaning you won't get a specific error message. Usually when this happens the white screen won't change and the iPod is frozen on that screen. Apple Support outlines a specific series of steps to take to deal with this problem, from turning the iPod Touch off to completely reinstalling the operating system if necessary.

What the White Screen Means The white screen is a sign that a software error has occurred in the iPod Touch. Unless you received an error message first, it's usually something near the root level of the iPod's operating system that caused the iPod to cease functioning normally. Rather than shut off completely, it goes to this white screen to let you know there's been an error. Unfortunately you usually lose unsaved information when this occurs. b> Resetting b> Try turning the iPod Touch off, then on again. This is the simplest way to reset your iPod Touch. If it remains stuck on the white screen, force a reset by holding down the Sleep button (top right corner) for about 10 seconds. The screen will go dark, then the Apple logo will appear. If it turns off and doesn't turn on again, the battery may be too low. b> Restore b> If a manual reset doesn't work and the screen remains stuck on a white screen, you'll need to restore the iPod to reinstall its operating system. Plug your iPod, via its charger cable, into your computer. Open iTunes and click on your iPod, then the "Restore" button on the main screen. b> Problematic Apps b> If you consistently receive a white screen while using a particular app, the app may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Try re-syncing the app to your iPod Touch and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you may need to delete the app to avoid the white screen problem.

My ipod is frozen with a white screen, I cannot turn it off and it is not responding to anything. Can anyone please help

Welcome to Fixya

This problem is called the white screen of death. To solve this, you should press the Home button and the Power button together for about 30 - 40 seconds. This process is called hard reboot. You can also try to restore the factory settings by plugging the device to you computer and restore it using itunes.

Thank you

Per the first Google result for "reset ipod touch", http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/10/04/how-to-reset-iphone-and-ipod-touch-hard-reset-or-reboot/ says:

"Press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously at the same time for at least ten seconds, then the LCD display will clear and the Apple logo appears on the black background. When Apple logo appears, reset is done"
