MY PRINTER STOPPED PRINTING AND GIVES A ERROR MESSAGE THAT THERE IS A MISFEED. I CAN NOT SEE THE PAPER FROM THE FRONT OR TOP ARE THERE ANY OTHER SOURCES THAT I CAN CHECK TO CLEAR THE MISFEED, IF THERE IS ONE?

Generally a paper misfeed is not a paper jam. The rubber pickyp rollers probably need a clean but turning the printer off for 10 minutes and turning back on should eliminate the message.

Make absolutely certain the correct size is specified for the paper in your tray, otherwise your print driver may be locked on selecting from the bypass tray and not set to 'auto select'

A 2550 with the Attention light blinking -

1. top cover is open
2. out of paper
3. paper jam
4. paper misfeed - open and close the top cover
5. fuser problem

If this is a network printer, put the ip address of the printer in the browser http:// URL window.
The browser should open up the printer status. The Event log messages should give you more info

I have a toshiba estudio 452 when i want to print it shows E550 but there is no paper in the paper feed area , and I checked it several times

Sounds like the 'Clear misfeed' symbol. Open the front cover and follow the pictorial diagram instructions to check your paper feed path for jammed paper. Remove misfeed, and close covers. This should reset your machine.

try to shutdown your printer and then ....arrange the paper properly on the tray or add some ..and then print an alignment page on it.....

Pull out paper cassett and look for paper in the feed section. Fold a sheet of paper in half and using the blue lever inside right side door feed paper between feed rollers. Make sure you do the whole width of feed section. There might be a small piece stuck you can't see.

Hi , The error message your getting refers to the following for the Ready & Alarm Buttons Flashing.

1. Paper Jam
2. Misfeed
3. No Paper

you're problem is not with the printer. It is the set up you are using in the program you are sending to print for example: in InDESIGN after you hit apple P for the print command you will have a dialog box that says printer (the middle top) you will need to select your printer also at the bottom there is a printer button which must also be selected with your printer. Whatever program you are running will need to be set to the printer you are printing to. if you do not see your printers ID you will need to "add printer" and search out the proper driver for your printer.
