How do I restore the routers default settings. I am trying to reinstall a WRT160N router that I just purchased. I had installed it once and then removed it because the internet security would not work. When I tried to reinstall it, the set up wizard said the settings had been changed and I needed to restore the default settings. The second part of the question would be, why would the internet security be "unavailable?" The message that I got from the Network Magic security program that came with the router told me that the wireless security was unavailable for Windows XP w/ 64 bit incryption.

On the bottom or the rear panel of the router you will find a small hole that is labeled as "reset."

How do i find and delete the internet security? it won't allow much of anything to be added to my computer [email protected]

Have you installed the WRT160N router using the CD?
Sometimes when you install this router it will install the Home network defender software. And because of that software you may get error message while accessing some websites.
There is not way to uninstall that software but you can reset the router and reconfigure the router manually without the CD.
Once you reset the router it will come back to the factory default settings and you will need to reconfigure the router.
If you just want to change the internet security then you can open the router setup page and check the access restriction settings.
