BenQ DX 650 Won't power up making clicking noise

OK so I have a BenQ DX 650 I've had for a few years and the other day we where watching a movie and someone accidentally tripped over the power cord and shut the projector off well I went to plug it back in and it made a clicking noise and the fans and temp light started flashing well obviously it was hot, so after it cooled down and I went to turn it back on it mad the same clicking noise it would start for a sec and stop for another and then the lamp light would blink and the fans would just run. So I tried to power it up again and maybe out of about 6 to 10 tries the eventually it would work.. Once the lamp was on it wouldn't shut off and it would work fine.. Well I had to do this every time I use it.. My final question is if the lamp or ballast is bad it wouldn't power up at all. I have opened it up and the clicking noise is coming from the surge arrestor on the ballast, its sparking up emitting a blue light making the noise..

Those units are designed to be fan cooled after the bulb shuts off. When the cord was pulled, the unit lost power and without the fan, sat there and cooked. Could be a thermal fuse, could be the bulb.

Hi,

Check if the unit has a Filter Timer ? If it does have one - check the hours on it and reset it.

If the problem still occurs or there is no filter timer in the Menu - check that all your fans are running.

Hope this is of help

Goodluck,

SOURCE: Ballast error status - lamp voltage too high

You need to replace the balast as the voltages are buringing the bulb out and this is caused by a balast that is bad. The baslast is what the bulb connects to this has a sensor on it that relays voltages and heat back to the main control unit.

SOURCE: Projector shuts down ca 20 sec from start.

I have the same problem, however, my lamp wasn't replaced. Projector working great, just started today. Filter cleaned, reset lamp time, neither helped. Any luck yet?

Emerson VCR/ DVD Player Model # EWD2203 makes clicking noises when I watch dvds

OK, first go through these steps:
(if they doesn't work, then you have to say good bye to the combo.

1.) check if your DVDs aren't scratched (very common)
2.) check if your DVDs aren't dirty (eg. somebody held it in his hands after he ate a juicy marmelade bread)
3.) Try to clean the head (lens) of your DVD player with a cleaning DVD (at least 5 times).

While I'm watching movies on my hard drive it stops working. Does this mean that it is on it's way out? It is only about a year and a half old. Can someone please help me

Hello :)
Does the harddrive make any noise before shutting down? A clicking/ticking noise maybe? When did this problem start?
But before you replace the harddrive, try another SATA/IDE cable. You could also try another power supply, if you have one available.
Just to be sure you could also run a few malware programs like Malwarebytes and/or scan your computer with an antivirus program.
I had to replace two harddrives last year and they both had this clicking noise before shutting down completely.

We've replaced fly wheel, and now the starter and the battery and the truck still won't start and nothing works.

are you sure with parts are the same as the old ones ? If so start again as you started the fitting in order to be sure that everything is in order. I believe either you haven't put the contact ( earth ) or you didn't tight it enough.

PS3 won't accept certain disks. A few disks i have won't play in my ps3. it happens to both blu-ray movies and games, and it seems to only happen with blu ray disks. i'll put the disk in, and...

Hello
The noise is actually a product of dust from a blue ray disc.Over time these discs heat up and leave a residue on the blue ray lens.
Try using a lens cleaner to remove dirt and clean lens.
Also i read an article that using a wireless controler can also cause freezing of the blue ray.

I have Benq 19" FP93GX

That sounds like the power section may have problems and is radiating electronics noise ie signals.
If you have warranty get it fixed or replace it. Unfortunately Benq has had quality issues over the years. Sometimes parts and other times assembly. Your's might have both going on at the same time. Monitors are so cheap to buy that they are generally not worth fixing if you have to pay for it. I'm using a benq now and it is one I had to resolder a few places on the board before it worked properly.

Tv making clicking noise while I am watching

Hello everyone,

I bought the model TH-50PX60U June of 2007. I've been hearing the very annoying clicking noise as well.

Since the TV has a one year warranty, I just called Panasonic and they've scheduled a tech to come over and take a look at it three days from now.

I will publish the results on the same page.
