The white things like shirts and writing have turned a yellowish green and when you turn down the colour to get black and white its the same is it the tube ?

Here;s the typical configuration in North America.
Green - Think of Green for Ground. This will attach to the ground lug on your dryer.
White - Neutral - Think of it as the mid point petween the Red and Black
Red & Black - 220 volt potential.

On your Dryer, there should be a bar that the wires connect to, and coming out the other side of the bar, there should be the same coloured wire..

I don't know why you discloonected or removed wires, but I make this suggestion very seriously.

The tubes have aged and the colour balance between the tubes has shifted. You will need to redo it using a black/white test image: first the black (the cutoff point), then the white (the gain) on each tube - always start with the green colour. This is done on the final video amplifier of each tube by adjusting the corresponding semiadjustable resistors.

Inkjet printer inks are dye-based, and that's the reason.

Perhaps this will help explain things. You know those little boxes of food colouring you can buy in the supermarket - the ones that have four little bottles of colour - red, blue, yellow and green. Within reason you can combine these to turn white icing into most colours. Use nothing and the icing is still white or use everything and the icing will go a black-brown colour. Use a couple of drops of red and blue and you'll get purple.

But if you start with black icing, there's nothing you can add that will make it anything but black.

It's the same with your inkjet printer - because white is obtained by not having any ink print on the white paper. But of course that only works when the paper is white. Naturally you'll get different results on all colours of paper, decreasing as the paper gets darker in colour. Print blue on yellow paper and you should get green printing.

The only way to print in white is to do what commercial printers do - use opaque inks and include a white ink in the process. And as far as I know there's no commercial ink that will do that with an inkjet printer.

I can hear lots of you muttering "Rubbish. Of course you can print light colours on dark paper." Well all I can say is, have fun experimenting, but you won't be able to do it.

About the only way to achieve the sort of result you may be after is to print the job then trim it and paste it in place. For instance, if you want to print onto a black or dark-coloured T-shirt then print onto white transfer material, trim the print to size and iron it in place.

simple. easy. you have 3 screen adjustments. red green blue. turn color all the way down. you should then get just a black and white picture, but in your case, it will still be reddish. behind the speaker grill is an access panel for screen adjustment. remove speaker grill. remove access panel. you will see a block assembly roughly 6 inches square with 6 knobs on it. 3 are for screen, 3 are for focus. adjust until you have a black and white picture. then go into menu and turn your color back up. enjoy!

Hi there.

Here goes.

What you do is first get into tube lenses and wipe them clean.
Then turn down the colour to black and white.
The simplest way to adjust the three separate colours is to get to the hv splitter box and adjust every screen pot until you get a black and white pic.
Then turn your colour back up and you should see a good result.
