Could be that the belt has gone. I think it does one cycle, then when it tries to reverse it gives the F-08 error and stops - and I think it cuts the heat out for safety.

For most Hotpoint (Indesit) models 'F08' means 'heater relay (possibly) stuck'. 'Check power supply connections to the heater, wiring and module (i.e. PCB) connections' (apparently poor PCB connections are often the cause).
So- if you are not electrically confident and competent yourself, which you may be, you need to employ the skills of a partner, friend or service engineer ;-0)

F08: Heater control or NTC (Thermistor) temperature sensor problem. hope this helps. also turning off at plug for 5 mins then turning back on might solve it if does not then it is the sensor problem. best thing to call engineer or get new machine if dose not work. hope this helps.
error code f08-htr relay stuck-ckeck htr not open citcuit-connections on board are clean especialy botton connecters-if still throws error then req new board
F02 and F08 are 2 completely unrelated problems.
F02 indicates motor problem, and F08 indicates a problem with the heater circuit, the relay is not energising, possibly due to a faulty heater or themistor.
Would advise you call a qualified repair technician.
