How long have you owned the projector? Once I have all the information I can recommend the best solution please don't reject my solution until then as I know you will find me more then helpful. Thanks, Lee
mitsubishi doesn't have a lamp timer that can be accessed. it will have an on screen message when it gets close, and it'll turn off when it is exceeded.
Open the case and check the color wheel for chips. Mine shattered and sounded like a broken fan. $+- 225 for new color wheel. Easy to replace and it worked fine.
"I believe your color wheel may have came apart. You should contactmitsubishi for an estimate. You can locate the nearest authorizeddealer here: http://direct.where2getit.com/cwc/apps/w2gi.php?template=search&client=mitsuservicer#?mid=174138 Thanks, Lee" This is what i posted on your original post as well. This should be everything to get y ou going to know whether or not replacement or repair is needed. If you need anything else let me know and if you have a moment to accept and rate my solution on your original problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Lee
I have the same problem as philvo. I was watching, the projector was operating normally, I heard a snap, there was a flash of light behind me I believe, and my Mitsubishi XD300U projector went to a black and white picture. That is all it will show now. All lights show normal operation. I would like to know if it is worth getting repaired. Does anyone have any ideas?
