I have BROTHER SE2700 Disney machine. Bobbin will not rewind. It makes the noise that is rewinding, states on computer screen it is winding. Sounds like it is working but nothing is happening.
SE270D. Lift the bobbin and reposition, making sure it is down against the pin.
If this is not the problem, a Sidewinder Bobbin Winder (auxiliary bobbin winder sold with most sewing notions) is a lot cheaper than taking the machine in for service.

Question edited for clarity. It is a 'bobbin', not a 'bobbing'.
Is it E6, E7, E4, or is it E674? But the main problem, NO Make and Model. Just Google the Error code like this with make and model before it Margaret.
Is the thread caught in gear in top of machine causing it to bind. If you refilled bobbin did the gear switch back completely or you have lost an o ring in bobbin rewind.
F4 might mean that the bobbin on the top is in the position for rewind, slide bobbin to the right for the error code to go away. Hope this helps, Sandy
Hi Diane...you can wind bobbins while you are sewing your product, or you can wind them seperately. To wind them seperately, pull out the bobbin case, lift the presser feet up and lock them in the up position, undo the threading beyond the tension assembly. The takeup will create a birdsnest if you don;t pull the thread from it. Wind your bobbins, the re-thread your machine, insert your bobbin case, drop the presser feet, pick up the bobbin thread and sew away. If you need any other input, call me at 888-283-9640.
Hi, if you look in the bobbincase you will see a round spring. Sometimes this gets moved and it blocks the hole the sensor reads through. Clean inside the bobbincase with a q-tip. Also clean the sensor lens on the door with a q-tip. Also try rewinding a bobbin but don't start with the thread through a hole in the bobbin.
Hope this helps.

For $30 you can buy a standalone bobbin winder (Sidewinder) at JoAnn's Fabrics or Amazon. It's a great little accessory (battery or electrical) because it saves wear and tear on your machine but also allows you to wind multiple bobbins without having to unthread the machine.
