Sounds luike you might have had a virise and its wiped somonthing it souldint have out you can save your things in safe mode and re do the os (reinstall windows ) if you recantly conected hardware to then unistall and disonect it then retry it

try botting into safe mode by taping f8 assune as the computer power is on and then select safe mode with networking and go to http://onecare.live.com/site/en-my/default.htm?mkt=en-my and check for virusses

Easiest thing to do is to try and boot into safe mode with command prompt and then run a repair.

Safe mode

You can also force the system into safe mode. You click on startup and type in msconfig. Click the general tab and select diags and the system will reboot to safe mode. Change it back to normal to get your system out of safe mode.

the system may boot to administrator mode. From there try to make necessary changes
