Your set is the V17 series so a code 22 means short protect. Which means the TV has a short circuit condition and is shutting down to prevent further damage. You can get a manual for the V17 sereis at the following link for 15.99 and they will provide free unlimited support to help you with the diagnosis and locating parts. Your set is coverd in the V17 sereis service manual under the mitsubishi section. Here is the link in case youd like the service manual and free support.

Mitsubishi WS-A55 with a 2-3 error code
SD Tech - I have the error code 22 on my WS-A55. Power light comes on and then quickly shuts off. Looked at circuit board - there was greenish "gunk" on two of the electronic parts on the board in the center (behind the speaker grill) in the area labelled R5A62. Would you be so kind as to post repair instructions and the name of parts seller you mentioned above? Thanks!!!

I'm getting an error code 32.On a WS-55859
32 isnt a valid code for your model. Mitsubishi model WS55859 has only 5 possible codes they are 12, 21, 22, 23, and 24 Double check the code again and resond to this same post and i will assist you.

Will not stay on., Automatically turns off.
Try pressing in both the menu and device/input buttons in together on the front of the set and hold for 5 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit error code such as 2 blinks then a pause then two more blinks followed by a pause which would indicate a 22 error. Then let me know what the blink code was if any.

try to check it again as these are the only codes for your model.

WS-65809 ERROR CODE 22
look on the center circuit board and you will see two green Pico fuses they look like resistors but they dont have any bands on them . They will have F9A04 and F9A05 on the board next to them. Check with a ohms meter if those fuses are open you will ned new convergence ICs. Thats the first thing to check are those two pico fuses when you get a 22 error on your model.
