Unfortunately it sounds like the screen or it's comtroller were damaged. Anytime electronics are dropped in water they should be turned off immediatly and left to dry out. Put in a container with a water absorber (rice, baking soda, dehydrator pack). Even then there is a strong likelihood that it's not going to work.

Take the battery off, unfold the phone, set it in a warm, dry place and pray like heck. plugging it in may help it stay warm but leave it off.
