I cannot reset clock

Touch Timer/Clock pad and number 2 pad.
Enter the correct time of day by touching the numbers in sequence.
Touch Timer/Clock pad again.

Sharp R-1214F clock won't hold time. Have to reset after every use.

You may not actually be setting the clock fully.

From page 16 of the owner's manual (online here):

If it still fails, you may have a failing keypad or moisture on the controller.

I cannot get the clock-setting procedure to work......

To set the clock to 4:30, for example:

CLOCK > 4 > 3 > 0 > CLOCK

- or -

CLOCK > 2 > 4 > 3 > 0 > CLOCK
(the two means you're setting the clock, as opposed to 1, which would be to set the timer)

Setting clock

It depends on the brand and model.

Normally it's a sequence like:

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > START

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > START

I have a Sharp Corousel Microwave R230KW.

On most Sharps, the sequence is:

Clock > 2 > 3 > 5 > Clock (for 2:35)
or
Clock > 2 > 3 > 5 > Start (for 2:35)

Touch TIMER/CLOCK pad.
Enter the correct time of day by touching the numbers above in sequence.
(for example: for 12:30, touch 1 2 3 0)
Touch TIMER/CLOCK pad again.

How to set clock on sharp microwave

normally you look for the clock ot watch icon. Pressing it once will give you the option for 24 hours setting. Press it twice and it will give you the opportunity to set to 12 hours setting. Using the no. keypad, punch in the time and then repress the clock icon again.

The clock works & counts down but the microwave won't heat

Disconnect the power for 30 seconds. After restoring power, do not set the clock.
If your model has an ON/OFF clock display, you can choose not to have the time displayed. To choose this option, press the 0 pad for about three seconds. To Turn the display back on, press the 0 again.

Touch the clock pad. Enter in the correct time of day by touching the numbers in sequence. Touch the clock pad again.

Clock on Microwave

Normally on a Sharp, one of these key combinations will do it:

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > START

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > START
