If you don't need to edit but only copy images, you may be able to bypass a photo editor altogether by attaching your camera, double-clicking the My Computer icon on your Desktop, double-clicking your camera's icon, and dragging image files from the camera to your hard drive.

The camera's driver (software that facilitates communication between your computer and a peripheral device, such as a digital camera) may be corrupt or outdated. We'll discuss drivers in the next section. If your computer still won't recognize the camera, you may need to enable the USB ports in the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). Check your computer's users manual or the computer manufacturer's technical support line to learn how to do this. Only edit the BIOS if you are comfortable doing so.

Photo transfer problems are as likely to be related to software as to hardware. If you use photo-editing software other than what came with your camera, check the software's documentation and Web site to see if the manufacturer supports your camera. Download and install any software updates, as well.
If your photo-editing software can't detect your camera, make sure your camera is attached, turned on, and, if necessary, switched to transfer mode. Double-click the My Computer icon and look for an icon that corresponds to your camera. If you see an icon for your camera, you know that Windows detects your camera and that the problem is related to your photo-editing software. You may have a corrupt or missing TWAIN driver. TWAIN drivers let digital-imaging software recognize devices such as cameras and scanners. Try reinstalling or updating your camera's drivers (as we discussed above).
File formats might pose another problem. Most photo editors support all major image formats except RAW, a proprietary format with no compression or loss of data. RAW images are in the camera's native "language," so only the camera and selected software can read these files. For instance, a Nikon camera's RAW data is different than an Olympus camera's RAW data. If you want to capture images in RAW format, use the software that came with your camera to open images. Then save two copies of the file (one in RAW format and one in another format, such as JPEG [Joint Photographic Experts Group] or TIFF [Tagged Image File Format] that your photo editor can open).
If you don't need to edit but only copy images, you may be able to bypass a photo editor altogether by attaching your camera, double-clicking the My Computer icon on your Desktop, double-clicking your camera's icon, and dragging image files from the camera to your hard drive.

Another important storage issue is organization. Your digital images can become as cluttered as that old shoebox full of photo prints. Searching 20 minutes for a photo is no more fun when rummaging through computer files than when flipping through unorganized prints stashed in shoeboxes. Try renaming image files so you can search for BobsParty.jpg rather than DSC-023.jpg. Consider these questions to help you create an effective organizational system
if it's ok with you please kind rate my posted solution/s.
