Hello, I've a navigon pna 7000T gps. When I switch on I get the following message " Attention : The memory card is locked. Tap OK. Remove & unlock the sd memory card, re- insert & restart. (translated from French)
I follow the instructions but it still won't work. It keeps repeating the same message!
Please help.
Thank you,
Regards
David
Sounds like the sd card is beginning to give you a problem, if you can find another sd card or just buy one, (they are less then 20 bucks now) copy the software from the original sd card and put it onto the new card. This should clear up the problem since it sounds like the cards lock is worn down to much for the sensor to feel it.
Testimonial: "Thanks for your input. I've followed your advice but when I insert the new card, it is not recognised - it says "insert memory card" do I need a 2mb?"
Card should be a 2gb card this seems to be the standard right now for gps devices. If you are unable to copy and get the card to work it could be that you are copying the error as well, but how it does that i have no idea.
If you have the original cd rom diskd there should be a procedure for installing the programs onto a new sd card. THIS MIGHT ALSO FORMAT THE SC CARD. Sometimes these things have thier own special format that they like, sorry thew previous advice didn't work.
Hope this works for you, since the nexst suggestion from me will be buy a new one.
where do i find the software that is in the sd card?,I lost my memory card
