Hi,
If you can give the make and model of your oven a manual could probably be found.
However before you consider running the self clean feature be sure to read this...

I have a frigidaire Elite electric range. The clock/timer control board went blank after a power surge.I can only find a model # on a small sticker, but no one recognizes it.It is approx. 20 yrs old

Take off back pane AFTER unplugging unit. there should be a fusable link, it is usually a large red wire going to the relay block, it might even say on the wire "fusable link" if it folds or bends easily it is probably blown.

I started my oven on ''clean'' -- how long should this take?

Whithout knowing the model number in general it takes several hours for the cleaning cycle. My oven takes approx. 4 hours to complete a good cleaning. On my own oven, you can set the timer for as long as you want. Do you have an owners manual? If not, you can find one here...........

How to self clean

Depending on the condition of the oven, it could take up to 4 hours.

A couple things to remember is: (1) Make sure you do not turn the light on inside the oven. The clean cycle should disable it. (2) Lock the door if it does not lock itself. (3) Do not open the door during the clean cycle.

Remember the self cleaning temperature is extremely high. Do not allow children in the area while doing it.

Here is a link for your stove:

Directions are on page 23.

Old Amana - no manual; can't operate self clean feature

Can you locate the model number on the oven? Also any particular name of the stove? The manufactured year. These should all be available on a stainless steel or aluminum attached plate , probably on the back of the stove or inside the door.
I wouldn't try using the self cleaning feature until we get some advice. it could lock up on you and not UNLOCK. Normally self cleaning takes place at 600 or more degrees .

I'm sure others still have the same stove., I will see what I can find for you.

Amana wall oven

Hi~ According to the manual for this oven, the F2 code signifies - high oven temperature. The only suggestion for any of the codes in the manual is to disconnect the electrical supply. It says" pressing OVEN CANCEL pad or disconnecting electrical supply may eliminate "F code". If failure continues, contact an authorized servicer.
I hope this helps. Linda
