We bought a usa ds game(animal crossing) when my son comes to save where hes got to in the game it tells him it can't save it...why is this,is it because its a usa game on a uk ds console, We also have a uk version of the same game, that saves perfect.please help!!

It shouldnt matter where it was bought,i've bought a few games when i was in Usa last year and they work on a console i bought here in Ireland.
Try this,this is what i came across before on Prof Layton,
When you go to save a game and the three spaces are used up,select one and overwrite it,you can only save 3 at a time
