I have a Panasonic SD-7p camera, and use Motionsd studio to download and edit. The manual is worse than useless. Is it possible to make slow motion videos using this combination? My thought was to use the fastes shutter speed, and the software to manipulate the file, but can't seem to locate any instructions.

Don't know how to upload it to my comupter

You would have got an application Motion SD Studio for edit videos on the computer. You need to insatll that and use the USB cable that came with the camera to upload video or read the SD card directly on the computer tp upload video. A user manual for the S/W will be a PDF file on the CD or the SD card.
If you did not get the S/W you may be able to download on line

How do i edit using motionsd studio 1.3e?

I had much the same issues with my Motion SD Studio manual...pretty much useless. On screen help? Forget it...it won't find it. Again..useless.
So the only way I learned to use it was by just digging in and doing it. Once you have it figured out, it really isn't that bad to use. Although it is rather basic as far as editing goes. I quickly outgrew the program and now use Magix Movie Edit Pro 14...MUCH more versatile! But I still need Motion SD to load the files into the computer and render them into the proper format for MEP.

SO the first thing you want to do is load your video clip into the computer. Make sure your power cord is connected to the camera. Then connect the USB cable th the cam and computer. The camera will ask you if you want it to be ""pict-brigge or as a USB drive. Choose USB drive. Cancel out of the window that pops up.
Now start your Motion SD studio software. In a few seconds a box will appear asking you what to do. Yo want to upload files from the camera. Pick this option and a new windoe opens up displaying the videos in your camera on the left and a preview screen on the right. Simply highlight the clips you want to inport and then click the "import" button below the preview screen. This process may take some time depending on the length and number of clips you import.
Once importing is complete, it will ask you if you want to edit the images. Hit YES anf the edit window will open up.
Then drag your clips tio the timeline and begin editing.

I hope this is helpful to anyone having trouble getting thingd going with this software. Remember, I had to learn this on my own due to insufficient manuals and a lack of online help. I can offer further assistance if anyone might need it.

Downloading the video from a panasonic sdr-s7

You dont need a software. I just plugged the camcorder to the wall socket and clicked on the option PC CONNECT in the camcorder which comes automatically when you plug in. In 'my computer' go to removable device and copy the files and open with windows media player. Anymore problem. Email me : [email protected]

Video Download Issues

Hi, I had the same problem and found it was an issue with my non- licensed Microsoft XP software. I bought a new copy of XP and the camera was located without issue.

Panasonic camcorder

I'm no expert, but I don't think you can do that with just the video camera alone. First you'd have to pass your video onto a computer using dv motion studio and then you can put that output file onto a sd card. I don't think it would be possible to play that video off the card on the camera. Hope that helps

Panasonic PV-GS19 I can´t download video to pC

MOTION DV STUDIO should work. I can't find the "free" smaller version and have lost the disc that came with cam that had it. Panasonic does not support this cams donwloads on their site. I can only find the for sale versions of MOTION DV STUDIO. I am having the same d*mn problem. I have a PC with Xp with a number of built in editing programs that should be able to capture from firewire and recognize this connection. This cams USB connection captures bad video artifacts during transfer. The only other solution which I can think of is to use a SVHS serial to mini cord (?). I can't find one of these for sale anywhere...if they exist. Any other people having this problem and have solved it without buying a full version of MOTION DV STUDIO? If anyone can upload the free version of basic MOTION DV STUDIO for us to download, that would be awesome. Btw- my laptop will not recognize the firewire connection from the DV camcorder no matter what I try within the hardware connection UI, etc.
