Did you look in the breaker box?
3 inches should have shorted the plug receptacle.
Just reset the beaker

Same thing happened to me. I have the identical dryer in my basement. My basement flooded w/only 3 inches of water. Dryer no longer worked. Repair guy came. Took him an hour to take the machine apart. It was the control panel, located in the back of the lower part of the machine. It's located very low in the machine, so just a small amount of water on your basement floor can ruin this part. It will NEVER dry out. Same scenario as when you get your cell phone wet--electronics do not like the water! The part cost around $180. My dryer now works again

Basement flooded and got approx 12 inches of water in bottom of dryer let sit for a week to dry before trying when pushing start button will come on but wont continue running unless you hold button in ...

Sorry to say but you will need to replace the motor. After water gets in you can rarely save the motor no matter how long you let it dry. There is an internal over load inside the motor that is cutting out after 30 seconds and once it cools for 15 or 20 minutes then it resets .Hope you found this information helpful and thank you for using Fix ya.

Polar RS200 kills batteries

Got the same problem - changed battry in the RS200 twice, dead after about a week. Bought a "quality" battery, lastet fro 3 weeks, dead again.. :-(
This 4. time, after replacing battery again, I did try to Master Reset the RS200 (see www.polar.fi under support in forums) link: http://forum.polar.fi/showthread.php?t=14065 - but also TAKE CARE to reset to factory default!! You will loose all stored data!!
I am now only waiting (and running) to see how long the battery will last this time...
This might be the problem... give it a try?

Refrigerator was in the basement with 6" of water....

The electric parts that got wet will need to be dried out. Try putting a flood light etc. shining on the bottom for a few days to see if it will dry it out, then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start. Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Discharge air is HOT!! - not cool

A Dehumidifier will not cool your basement, just make it seem cooler at the same temp. Your dehumidifier may be undersized even for that purpose.

You need an AC outlet of a central AC in your basement, or a window unit if there are windows.

Warm air at discharge is normal.

Electicity went out for 3 days basement under 3 inches of water have a whirlpool imperial gas dryer is it safe to use it or is it gone now

It is not safe to use until you have it checked out by a qualified slectrician, and have it certified safe. Do not be tempted to use it because it is now dried out.
Plz rate my advice.
Thanks.
