According the the Cerwin Vega manual for this model and others, all speakers in the system are rated at 8ohms. This includes the Sat4 Surround Speaker and all other channels.

Pay really close attention to how the speaker is wired and make a written note, maybe a polaroid, even video, since it is a single speaker you hopefully will not have problems with the mess of wires.
if you can afford it, get a pheonix gold amp, cerwin vega's are hard hitters and need lots of juice. get yourself a 1500-2500 watt amp, you will be pleased
It should have a small fuse on the board between the transformer and the board. Check that first. If it is good see if the transformer is putting out any voltage. Two easy fixes that can be done in house...
