Installing a Zanussi ZBF260 oven

I have just purchased the above Zanussi model and have been told by the electrician that it looks like it needs female spade connectors to connect the new cable to the terminal box on the rear of the oven.
He says that he is quite reluctant to use these connections as they were not supplied in the box when delivered and he has never had to connect an oven using spade/crimp connection before.

As there is no clear instructions with my appliance, he says that I should contact someone for advice and find out which size/colour spade connectors he should use he will be willing to install it.

I have bought a Zanussi ZBQ 865 built in oven with the same terminal block . How on earth are you supposed to fit 2.5 mm cable to spade connectors small enough to fit the terminal block?

I've got the same issue, looking at them it's either the blue or yellow ones you want, the manual states that it should be installed with 2.5mm flex cable if going to a plug and 2.5mm twin and earth cable if your going to an electrical outlet.

Hi ive purchased a zanussi gas hob & electric grill and oven my installer wanted to knw what amp and wire to use to connect the oven nothing is stated in the manual model no ZOF35511XK

The necessary data for your installer is on
the rating plate. The rating plate is on the back side on oven and on the bottom side on hob. Never remove
the rating plate from the appliance cavity.
Make sure that the electrical information on
the rating plate agrees with the power
supply. If not, contact an electrician

All electrical connections should be made by
a qualified electrician.
The appliance must be earthed.

Fuse

According to the Manual, section about Electrical Connection Pg14 is that there is no fuse as it is connected to the buildings main fuse box via a double pole switch between oven and the mains electricity.

Oven will not heat up

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.

Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating

  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.

  2. If you\'re Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.

  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Trip swich went when turned back on no power in oven at all

Hi intial problem will probably be a faulty heating element locatated behind the panel at the back. the zbf260 has no clock but if its a zbf 360 set the clock before the oven will function. otherwise the fault has damaged another component on the oven. which can be in order of most likley.fuse if on 13a supply/ thermostat/ selectorswitch/ thermal cutout/jw

Zanussi zbf260x built-in oven keeps tripping out

Probably due to a fault on the oven heating element. Check continuity and earth with a multimeter if you can but it's odds on you will need a new heating element.
