I am working with text in Page Maker. I typed 97 pages document in my regional language(Telugu) using Anu Script Manager 6.0. I want to make it into a book form using build booklet option. I want the first three pages left blank without any page number. The auto page numbering should start from the third page starting with page number 1. The last page will be page number 100. I want to create the publication in book form using 2-up saddle stitch with page number starting from 1 from the third page and ending with 97 in the last page. I am unable to manage in the above manner. Please solve the problem to suit my requirement

This is a simple question that I am often asked, and I decided to put together a little guide on how to add page numbers in various programs/applications as well as from the copier's touch screen. Originally I thought this was something that could be dictated from a Sharp print driver, but it's not. It's accomplished by adjusting the settings of the actual document before you print it out.
Print Page Numbers Onto Copied Documents
1. On the Home screen, touch Copy
2. On the Copy screen, touch Others at the bottom-left
3. On the Others Screen, touch Stamp
4. On the Stamp screen, move to the Page No. tab, then choose the location of the page where you want the page number. You can also choose the pattern or text style that you want the page number to be on the left side of the menu.
5. Touch OK. Your copies will have the page number stamped in the position you chose.
Printing Page Numbers from Microsoft Word or Excel on a Windows PC
1. Open your document
2. Once you're ready to print the document, move to the Insert Tab, and choose Page Number, then choose the position where you'd like the page number printed, and the type/style of the numbering. 3. Your print outs will now have the page number printed on them.
Printing Page Numbers from Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader
First of all, Adobe Reader cannot add page numbers to PDF print outs. It's a READ ONLY tool incapable of editing documents. You'll need either Adobe Acrobat Pro, or software similar to what BatesNumberer.com offers.
There is a great video on tv.adobe.com that details how to add page numbers via Adobe Acrobat.
In Conclusion
Make the necessary changes to your document to add page numbering before you print it, or before you copy it. There are a ton of other great tutorials for Sharp copiers/printers at www.youtube.com/equipmybiz
Are you using a Windows machine? If so, you'll probably need to make sure that you have a Telugu keyboard configuration in place:
Open the Start Menu and click "Control Panel." Open
"Regional and Language Options" and then click "Change keyboards or
other input methods." Click the "Change keyboards" button.
Click "Add" to add a new input language. Scroll down the
list until you find "Telugu." Click the "+" symbol to open up the
sub-menu. Open the keyboard sub-menu. Check the box for the keyboard
layout of your choice: Hindu Traditional or Telugu. Click "OK" when done
and click "OK" once more to close the language and region window.
In InDesign, you should be able to change the 'Language' of particular text from the Character palette. This option is at the bottom of the palette but I don't know if there is an option for Hindu or Telugu.
To have Adobe® PageMaker® automatically number your pages, if the
template isn't used, place a page number marker on the Master page of
the document.
Go to the Master Pages by clicking on the page icons with the L and R on them at the bottom left corner of the screen.
Using the Text tool, draw a text block in the general area for the page numbers.
On the Mac, press Command+Option+P or in Windows, Ctrl+Alt+P.
Depending on the page you are on, the page marker will show up in the text block, LM on the left page, RM on the right page.
Auto page Number
This text can be formatted like any other text on your pages.
Select the Pointer tool and move the copy block into the correct position.
Click on a page icon to go to a page in your file and the actual page number will appear.
If the page icons do not have the correct page numbers on them, go to the File menu, select Document Setup and change the Starting page # field to the correct starting page number.

to send email in Indian languages. Currently Hindi, Tamil, Telugu,
Kannada and Malayalam are supported. When you type message in English,

Anu PS Fonts (telugu) in WIN XP SP2 (Telugu is the One of the most using Language in Andhra Pradesh, India) not working / not supporting for QuarkXPress 6, 7 and 8 versions? How use this?. Please send me details my mail [email protected].
Sir,
I use Adobe page maker 7.0, I collected some documents from website. All that documents are Arial Unicode MS. I cannot edit the scripts in Page make, I copy the document and paste in the page maker, but all letter convert to other font, so please tell me how can edit the documents in same fonts in page maker.
Apparently Adobe doesn't consider importing pagination data from Word documents to be important enough to code Acrobat to find Microsoft's record of the page numbers and import them properly. I would suggest using Adobe Acrobat 7's page numbering feature, and simply number your pages appropriately, to match your table of contents.
