I am sorry to disagree, but some information in the previous post is INCORRECT. DO NOT connect the output of the mixer to the MIC input. The mixer generates LINE level output that should go to the LINE-IN on the sound card. If you connect the mixer to the mic input, you will damage the sound card. MIC level inputs have an additional amplification stage.

Ok a mixer can be connected to a computers sound car via the outputs/inputs on the back of the mixer.

Then input comes from your sound card where the spears would go. You use a RCA to 3.5mm jack www.radioshack.com for both the inputs and outputs.

output you want to go to you mic input on the sound card if you want to broadcast.

But if you just using this for like a dj setup all you need to do is take the output from you soundcard into the inputs on this.. Then if you want to connect this ti a amp/reciver you take the output from the mix to the AMP..

I hope this explains how to do this please do rate the solution if you have questions please to reply to me. thanks

I have a Behringer B1 Microphone and a Behringer 1202 Mixer. I want to know how to connect both of these to my Yamaha Home Theater receiver so that I can sing karaokes from the computer, Please help

You'll need to connect both your PC and the Mic to the mixer, you'll need phantom power switched on at the mixer for the mic to work, you then take the two track out to the Aux input on the receiver.

Can I connect only one speaker to a yamaha emx 312 sc power mixer?

First it is certain that you would not want to plug both outputs of the stereo power amp into one speaker combining both channels into the same speaker. (see image from manual below - also link to manual)

Next I would be very concerned about only using the one side of the main amp out as it could cause an unbalanced load, or you could be driving the load into dead air connection and any of these conditions are destined to cause premature failure of the power amp.

Taking a quick scan of the manual for this unit, it appears what is pretty common to most powered mixers, hook up two matched speakers/loads to each chanel of the output.

Your best bet is to shed those monster cabs, there really is no need for them especially with this sized powered mixer, and get yourself a nice pair of full range cabs like EV1202;s, EV SX300's, or some nice 2 or 3 way 15" JBL's/

Just my opinon.

Shud i get an external equaliser? i'm using MG166CX 16-Channel Mixer as the main mixer.

An external equalizer will not help this at all. The problem is likely within the amp (feeding the main speakers), the connections from the board to the amp, or the speakers themselves. In other words, the answer would be "NO." Best of luck!

Wound the yamaha MG102c be good for a small duo or solo

Use either an amp OR powered speakers. Make sure you use balanced lines to the external amp or powered speakers and power those from the SAME receptacle source as this mixer and any pwered devices connected to it for safety of the system.

The mixer is strictly a mixer. You would need to amplify to drive speakers. Used as a mixer it is fineand would support up to 4 mics.

It does have phantom power for use with condenser mics if needed.

Please use balanced lines (TRS) when connecting to the external amp.
