Select menu and choose the input you want or use the remote and push the input button to select whatever input you have connected to the TV.

Is closed caption turned on? (and the channel doesn't have any captions) Turn it off.

Call Sharp for warrenty repair.This problem very common in Sharp tv.Picture will come on turn power on/off button few times will work.But still under Wareenty call to Sharp to replaced the main Tuner Signal board.

Temp. fix might work,for awhile.Unplug,replug about an hour.Power borad is dead,must replaced.

Go to sharpmanuals.com put in your model number and as long as you have a printer you can download your manual online
