Glass Top Elect Rasnge/KitchenAid/ KERS807SSS000/ Trouble, the Display panel read Cavity Size...Select Size...When I try to select the size, there's no response, just the beep from the range. This started after a power surge. I have tried disconnecting the plug for 10min to no avail. The glass top burners work fine..It's the oven I can't use because the display panel is stuck in that Cavity Size mode.

Remove the screws under the top and tip the top back, the limit is right in the middle.

Replece glass oven door kitchenaid kebs278dss8

Oven doors have at least two panes of glass (air gap between so little ones touching outer glass do not get burned). You remove the screws around edges of door (top, sides, & bottom) and lift frame up and forward to get outer face off. The glass in ovens is tempered to take heat so you can not just use regular glass. You will find outer piece is sometimes the entire size of door but is painted black with the "dot" pattern that lines up with inner piece. Once you get face / frame off you will usually find the handle screws and mounts for inner glass. Sometimes inner glass sealed with high temp sealant. But make sure you use correct glass or someone could get hurt.

The house I've just bought has a Smeg 60 cm wall oven installed. Possibly 4-5 yrs old. I can't get it to work. An orange light comes on on the door panel when the temp control is turned on. Light goes...

Most of these ovens have two fans. A fan forced fan in the oven and a cavity extractor fan inside the cavity of the unit between the outer skin and the oven wall. The cavity fan blows hot cavity air out the front of the unit so it remains cool. If the orange indicator light is coming on this would normally be the oven element thermostat. Leave it on and see if it gets hot. If the light goes off when you select the function switch it means you are turning it off the oven function. Your interior oven light may be blown.
Hope this helps.

My oven beeped and then the display went blank, light nworks when you open door and when push a button it beeps

The power is going out to the control panel. It is easy to replace the whole controller. Be careful of the key pad cable. it will break easily. The part is $225 for the controller and $172 for the key pad. There are 4 resisters that heat up and a zen diode that fails DZ1. U1 also may fail. My RBD306PDB10 works great now. Do pay attention to the cavity size after re-installing the board.

Cleaning Inside Glass Oven Door of KitchenAid KEMC308KSSO

To dismantle the kitchenaid pro line oven door: there is a lever over the hinges that attach a door to the oven. The lever is right on top of the hinge. Pull the lever up. When that lever is in the up position, you can pull the door out.

Oven gives code E6 F2 on panel

The problem in our oven has cleared by itself. I did see the E6 F2 error message but for now, it's working fine. Considering the customer service was only able to help to the extent of reading the error code sheet the same as I was (the sheet is behind the touch pad) and seeing how limited the solutions were, we don't think we'll be buying another Whirlpool. I was pretty insulted when the girl a customer quality called to offer me part #8300453 at half cost of $164 providing I have a service guy look at the stove and call in the part. On top of that, the warrenty is 90 days and the part is on back order. Why would the part be on back order? A) they either did not make an ample supply for inventory, B) there are many ovens needing this part. For an oven to require parts after 2.5 yrs of service and 2 self cleanings tells me someone was sleeping with a cigar in their mouth in Quality Control. Or, learning what that meant.

Enjoy the day!
