How do you dial an international number from a panasonic KXTG7230EM i cant seem to get the + symbol to go on

you do not need to enter the + sign on international calls. This is just an identifier saying you to add the country code + the area code and phone.

What prefex of numbers to Scotland from Melbourne Australia do i have to put in front of the scitish number. please The number in scotland is 01563 830887. what coding do i have to put in front of that...

0011 0011 is the international prefix used to dial somewhere outside of Australia. 44 44 is the international code used to dial to United Kingdom. 131 is the local area or city code used to dial to Edinburgh. (Not added because the number entered already seems to include an area code.) 1563830887 01563830887 is the local number you wrote. The national prefix was removed from the number.

Why is there a plus sign before certain phone numbers?

The + sign indicates the international codes. Thus instead of 0091... being international code for India and 001... for the US and Canada, +91 and +1 are on the mobile. If my number is 9878472630 then the std code is 09878472630 and ISD is 00919878472630 on landline phones and +919878472630 on mobiles. Please feel free to ask more if not understood.

I need the area country code and area code of Uk.i want to call my love one.i need ur help.Thanx

The international code for the UK is 0044
To find the code of any town or area inside the UK go to http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/locator.php
Enter the town/city/area into the box and click SUBMIT. It will find the code for you.
Drop the 0 from the local code when you're using the international code so for example if you want to call Barnsley the code is 01226. When you add the international code, as you must if you're calling from another country it's 00441226 and then add the phone number. You can look up the UK local phone numbers at http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

You don't need to dial that + symbol. It's sometimes included when writing out a number to show that you're dialing extra digits, such as a country code, along with the phone number. All you'll need to do is enter the phone number like you normally do. Just add the area code or country code at the beginning as required.

There seems to be no option to activate speed dial. I have read the user manual and would like to think I'm not this stupid. Also it seems that I can only have 5 ring tones AND I can only use them for the...

To get a form of speed dial and caller ID to work, ones must have all contacts entered into the phones storage AND sim storage. Order of contact entry is in direct relation to the "speed dial" numbers. Then on phones menu screen, hit DIAL, and then a 1-3 digit number followed by the # sign. Another screen will come up with contact name and phone number that resides at the number you entered. There will be two pictures of phone receivers numbered 1&2. Push which ever one for the sims you have activated and your call will be made. It is almost just as easy to simply remember the number for the person who is so important to call so quickly. For caller ID-contacts in both phone and sim storage AND the number MUST BE ENTIRE #. This means area code, international code, etc. No solution for the lack of ringtones that can be USED at a time. Possibly if one can delete out set tones by accessing the phones engeneering or factory mode by entering in the required codes, the lame tones could be replaced by your desired ones. Siemens 2520 gigaset base

Hi Mike,

Its an easy fix, you need to tell the phone what area code your in. Push menu, go to system settings, enter your pin, scroll forward to "area codes" press enter twice, enter your area code and push enter to save. Now the phone knows where your located and wont add the 1 and the area code. CG
