Did you try to press the info button several times? Whatch what happens on the screen, because the camera will cycle through several views.
It is in the manual, under Changing the image information display.

Usually that's solved by just pushing the display button until you get a normal image. Ho[pe this helps!

Windows will automatically install the software driver necessary to connect your camera to your PC. Here is the procedure for transferring the files.

To transfer images from your camera to your Windows XP PC, follow these steps:

1. Connect your camera to your PC using the USB cable.




2. Turn your camera on, your camera will connect instantly to your PC. If a message appears on your camera shown in the illustration below, select the 'Computer' option on your camera.




3. After you have selected the computer option, a pop-up appears on your PC informing you that Windows has found new hardware.




4. Double click the 'My Computer' icon located on your desktop. The My Computer window appears.




5. Double click the 'Removable Disk' icon in the My Computer window. The Removable Disk window appears.




Note: The drive letter associated with the removable disk may be different depending on your system.


6. Double click the folder names DCIM in the Removable Disk window.




7. Find the folder named 101SSCAM. The images taken with your camera are in the folder.




Note: Each folder in your camera contains up to 99 images. Once this limit is reached, your camera creates a new folder. Folder names may vary depending on your Camera's Series.


8. To copy the entire folder to your PC, right click the 101SSCAM folder. A menu appears.
9. Highlight 'Send To' in the middle of the menu. A sub menu appears.
10. Select 'My Documents'.




11. Windows copies the folder into 'My Documents'. Depending on how many photos are in the folder, copying may take a few minutes.
12. Double click the folder in My Documents to access and view the pictures taken with your camera.

Your viewfinder, focussing screen, and mirror are out of alignment. You need a service technician to fix the problem.

make the "live view"/"viewing screen" first enable by locating it in your menu or your settings. then after that you can go back from taking picture by using the viewing screen

in regards of viewing the pictures taken, press the display button. keep pressing until the viewing screen appears

When you saved the pictures in My Pictures it will only show the date modified.

3. An icon appears on your Mac desktop labeled Untitled.
   
   
4. Shortly after, a pop-up appears on your Mac desktop. Click 'Download All' in the pop-up.
   
   
5. After downloading is complete, another pop-up appears containing the pictures taken with your camera.

Try opening the photos thro default windows pictures and fax viewer!!!

try opening the photos with any other viewing software you have - paint, windows picture and fax viewer to name but 2. If you get the same results then the files are probably corrupt, and the probability is that your memory card could be causing the problem, try another card and see if pictures you take can be viewed. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the camera and the olympus software, it just might help. If this doesn't work please post again and we could give you some info on software for recovering corrupt and deleted files. Hope this helps :)
