My beklin wireless g+mimo router will not work with my cannon pixma mx860 copier scanner printer fax. I'm setting up the printer to connect to a wireless access point using WPS. any suggestions? printer does not see the access point

Canon mx860 won't connect to network

From the wall your phone cable should go into the fax/printer. Then a phone cable should go from the printer to your phone.

There should be icons next to each jack on the back of the printer which indicates where to connect the cable.

It should work from there, but you might have to go to settings and set up the fax settings such as how many singals should it ring before the fax picks up the line.

I believe you need to reconfigure the wireless settings on the printer. You need to get the same exact wireless settings on your router.

its not the printer but magicjack. I have the mx860 its great but magicjack stopped supporting fax after an update came out. mine used to work great, but then just stopped after no change on my end

Yeah look like you have dsl and in that case you need a filter to go on that line so it will filter out you dsl connection so the data will pass threw.


I has two plugs one for you dsl modem and one for you fax or voice...

if you have one of these make sure there on all lines even the fax line, if you do have one then it needs to be changed out as it is bad.

Use your operating system to choose the printer rather than the driver.
For Windows XP, go Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes. Right click on the printer and choose Set as Default Printer.

first make sure it is connected and On. then go to Printers nd fax, and select it. If not there click on add printer and follow the directions and that should do it.

Switch to telephone priority mode. Hook your answering machine to the other phone jack on the printer.

Check printer in printers and faxes section after clicking on ´start´. See that its status in ready and is the default printer.
