Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

New phone i bought a new motorola v3i on ebay and it is unlocked but i put my tmobile sim card in it and it won't let me set the network up to be for tmobile. the tmobile network comes up as an option but i select register and it never does register. can you guys help me?

You must contact tmobile with the phones information. The sim is registered but Network does not reconize your phone as an authorized device.

Tmobile sidekick won't read sim card

If your SIM card is from another carrier besides T Mobile, it will not register in the phone is locked to the T Mobile network.
The only way to solve this is to buy an unlock code if you plan on keeping your current SIM card. (Chances are of getting a hold of one of these unlock codes for free are pretty slim)
You can find these unlock codes on eBay for a resonable price, but make sure you get a code for the T Mobile network.

And if you don't want to go through that, you could always get a SIM card for T Mobile.

Phone may be locked to a certain network tmobile/at&t...etc

You can get it unlocked by calling your service provider (they give it to you for free if you've been with them for a while)

you should take it into the mobile provider and have them manually set it up or try a master reset and see if that helps it.
