Things to check again:
1- if DHCP enabled 2- which type of security encryption is used, if WEP change to WPA, use numbers instead of mixed characters for wifi password 3- if MAC filtering is on on the router 4- if signal strength is good
hope that any one of the above solves your problem

I cannot connect my ipod touch to my router how do i connect it?

First you'll need to turn on your Wi-Fi.

1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then (turn WiFi on)
2. Set iPod touch to ask if you want to join a new network: Choose (WiFi) and turn (Ask to Join Networks) ON or OFF.

Then you'll need to join a WiFi network (your D-Link for instance)

1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then wait until your D-Link shows up in the list of networks.
2. Select your network and if you have a password for your router make sure you type it. (networks that require a password have a lock icon next to it) then tap (join)

Once you join a WiFi network manually, iPod touch will automatically connect to it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, iPod touch joins the one last used.

When iPod touch is connected to a WiFi network, the WiFi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows the connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.

Good Luck

Unable to connect to wifi network on ipod 2g touch

You must have your wireless profile's name and passkey.  Try resetting your router, then make sure you create a new profile for your desktop and take note of the details (ie name, WEP/WPA Key)  Should work just fine if you follow the steps.

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

did you setup a wireless network ? if you didnt go to control panal and then wireless network setup icon and follow instructions (select automatically provide network key option) then follow instructions and finish. once you did that, search through wifi on youf phone it should find your WNetwork and then connect and enjoy. if you want to use internet and have an ADSL modem, make sure that the modem is connected to the internet RJ45 plug on your router. and from router to PC.

8gb ipod touch will not connect to internet when i have a full wi

Hi there,

You shouldn't need to change the Address or DNS.

On your wireless router, make sure of your Firewall settings (if there is any form of blocking) and it's security settings (eg, network name, password and security type etc). Once you are sure of it's settings, on the iPod go to Settings, then Wifi. In there turn off then on wifi. Allow it to scan then if it comes up with your network, select it then type in the password when requested and tap Join. If it doesn't show you need to enter it manually. To do this tap on Other then type in the Network name. It should now request a password (if one is set) and you are then connected indicated by the wifi logo in the status bar.

For more info refer to your ipod touch manual pages 90-91.

All the best.
