Picture has double exposure as well as curved, color also is distorted with pink at the top of screen. It is on a good surge protector. It was fine last night and just started it this evening when we turned it on. It is attached to DishNetwork satellite but the rest of the tv's in the house are working fine.

Objects are doubled and colors are distorted

Projection sets have two very common problems.

The first common problem is convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Pink areas.

Not entirely, The optics of the camera combines with the lens in certain lights will alter the hue of some colors. Like a sound of almost equal tone cancelling out similar frequency sound. You have heard of Tinnitus ( ringing in the ears) when you apply a tone close to that frequencdy it cancels the sound Silence!
Similar things can happen through a lens... the refractory curve is slightly different to the mirror and so colors can distort. Power shot is not a top professional camera it is more point and shoot so does not come with the ability to set different kelvin settings (Itemperature) to compensate for this problem. Hope that helps you somewhat

Distorted picture on RCA LCD TV

I have the same tv. Had repair man come to my home in late april. Said it is the power convergence board. $225 for parts and labor I was told. Bad thing is part was supposed to arrive mid-may,then mid-june and now mid-july. He say's part is on back order. I'm actually going to contact RCA soon to find out if this is true. This seems to be a common problem with this particular T.V
