Problems Copying a DVD That's Protected?

That depends. What OS are you running? What type of files will you burn to disc (and what capacity disc)?

The program lets you burn various files to CD, DVD or BD. If you only plan on burning data files, you may not need it. If you burn ISO to create bootable CDs or DVDs, you might find it useful if you have XP. Windows 7 and 8 include a feature to correctly burn ISOs. (I don't remember if that feature is included in Vista.)
If you want to copy optical discs to burn backup copies, this software will also handle that. The Windows built-in software doesn't copy discs with DRM.

If you are compiling your own audio and video and then burning the resultant file to disc, the software is partially useful. (Another program has to do the compiling.)
There are other programs that do the same tasks as Power2Go. Roxio Creator (includes the video editing and playback software in addition to the burning unit) and Nero Burning ROM are commonly advertised options. DVD movies are usually copy protected and cannot be copied without a DVD copy program that removes the copy protection.
You also need a DVD burning drive installed in your ASUS.
DVDFab is one of the best DVD burning programs available, I use and recommend it.

Am not so sure if Cyberlink power dvd is capable of copying disc. I believe this software is just for video playback.

To copy pictures from a disc just navigate to My Computer then select the DVD Drive. Right click on the DVD Drive/optical drive then select open.

From there right click on the file or folder that you want to copy then select copy. Paste it to a folder on your computer.

To copy DVD movie, you need dvd copy software.
I've got the best dvd copy to copy our family christmas party into dvd, which provides the best way to copy DVD movie with excellent DVD copy quality.

If you are copying a DVD to another blank DVD, just put the original DVD inside > open Nero > click Copy disk > then the copy dialog box window will appear. > Just select your favourite speed ( [8x] medium speed recommended) and click Burn. If you are copying a DVD to your hard disk, just put your DVD on the drive, Open My computer > right click DVD drive icon and click open > Then select the appropriate file or folder to copy > right click it select copy > close the window. Now open My computer > open disk drive [may be D: or E:and so on... ] > right click and select paste. Now the file will be copied to your disk.
