Whirlpool Electric Dryer

My Whirlpool electric dryer won't start. I had a load in the other night and went to get it out and i noticed the clothes were really hot but I just supposed I had it on too long but had never noticed it do that before. After putting another load in the dryer, I heard the timer start but when I pushed the button it wouldn't start... I waited until the next day with the same results. I checked all breakers and none appeared faulty. What could be the problem? Thanks for your help.

More than likely the belt for the drum or the door switch is faulty. What is the model of your whirpool?

Won't stop, have to manually open door

Sounds like a bad timer. Your dryer is a Whirlpool product.so a replacement timer should be easy to locate. If the timer is advancing but the dryer won't stop, the problem could be the control unit. Run another load of clothes and take notice of the timer's position. If it doesn't run out, then it's very likely the timer. The video below shows step by step instructions for replacing the timer unit.

The dryer has power but will not run. Was drying clothes and went to put another load in and it would not start. I think it is the timer or switch

Try checking the door safety switch. There is a little tang that is on the dryer door,it goes into a slot on the dryer and makes a micro switch.

I have a Whirlpool Comfort Plus II Gas Dryer that when you press the start button, it will not start. I was running last night but when my daughter went to start on a new load of clothes, the dryer would...

Try the door switch and see if it clicks to activate. Also, make sure that the dial is always turned clockwise so as to not strip the teeth. Could be the timer .

Whirlpool LEN100PQO electric dryer wont shut off/no heat

if your thermal fuse is blown you will not recieve heat. if you put your dryer on sense load it will keep running because it is not sensing that the clothes are getting dry which in return your timer does not
